Worst thing I have ever hired, he was not honest from the beginning , he lied the planks on an even area and didn't know what he was doing, after less than 1 years floor started to show signs of lefting at edges and when floor failed he blamed the material and he came for the next time to fix the second floor he glued the planks to the underlayment not to the floor and same issue happened again! Lastly he was talking with curses on phone when we talked about the failures and how to fix! Unprofessional and Skillless and even dangerous with anger issues and cursing! I don't usually write reviews but I felt I had to for this company. Why? Because this guy and his worker are really freaken good at what they do. Not only that, he is probably the best price in town for laying down floors. We had estimates from others but AJs beat their prices by a mile. Me and my wife also like how punctual, communicative and courteous he was. They rarely took any breaks and stayed until the job was done. First, he provided us with the most straightforward, reasonable upfront pricing per sq feet of installation of the floor and baseboard. Second, prepping the floors is unquestionably essential for the life of the floors and the warranty of the materials. Because of the downright disgusting renters who trashed our family's home before we moved in, our subfloor was trashed, and we were extremely nervous. We had moisture issues and uneven surfaces. Finally got time to review this awesome business! AJ and his crew were absolutely awesome. He is a genuinely honest and great person--super laid back. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and made everything easy and by far the most affordable one we consulted. He took the time to explain the process and what he was doing because I have no knowledge about flooring whatsoever! So I felt very comfortable and confident moving forward. He was very communicative and I really appreciated that about him. This is our first home: a 1600 sq ft condo and the floors needed some love. We totally redid all the flooring: LVP throughout common areas and plush carpet in the bedrooms (not shown but oh so comfortable!) We are absolutely in love with the finished project and I'm always happy whenever I walk into my new home. Received full payment but never finished his job! I hired him to do my condo carpet and floor in a house. During the job he kept switching up schedule which was fine with me since I was still flexible. He promised to come back to finish a T mold by the door and a piece of baseeboard after I paid him fully. That's when the problem comes. He kept pushing back the schedule and making up excuses not to come finish the 20 mins job. I let it slide for the first 2 times but the 3 time he didn't come And refused to pick up my call. I texted him and tell him to call me back that's when he called me back and had a very bad attitude. Then he said he would come in and out and just finish the job the next time and hung up on me. He didn't show up the next time and that's the end of our contact. I ended up buying the toools and materials myself and finish the job as shown in pictures. *UPDATE* Owner commented that I didn't pay for the service for the t-mold which was a complete lie. The whole service including floor installation as well as t-mold, I have text message to back it up. Also, he never communicated with me, I reached out to him every time close to the schedule arrive time. Another part that he didn't finish was one piece of baseboard in my condo. I can't say enough about Anthony and his crew. He's knowledgeable, friendly, honest, kind, efficient, punctual, does over and above outstanding work, and has excellent communication skills. When he came for an estimate, he used a measuring tape and then gave suggestions about the different flooring and colors with examples to install flooring in our entire rental apartment. We had a couple other estimates who used laser measurements and were not the installers. The estimate he gave was clear, well written, and separated the materials from the labor. Everyday Anthony and his crew came to work on time, set up, worked, swept, and cleaned up better than any workers we have ever hired. We had painters before him that I had to clean up after each day. Anthony takes time to be particular paying attention to details about the finished job he is doing, not many workers do that these days. The finished job was flawless, all rooms were seamlessly connected, and the transition and baseboard workmanship was outstanding. I initially received a quote from the contractor Lumber Liquidator uses for their in-house work. Feeling something was off, I was referred to Anthony by another tradesman. Anthony was extremely responsive and quoted a much better price to do a more comprehensive job. In addition, he pointed out some of the inflated charges from the other contractor. I have 3 kids and when the day of the job came, we did our best to clear out what we could, but there was still furniture, cribs, shelves to move. Anthony and his guys demoed our carpet, hauled it away, put in new flooring and base boards. The job took 5 days, but at the end of each day Anthony and his crew left the house in a position that it was livable for my family and I. In the end the job (luxury vinyl) looked great. Along the way Anthony was extremely communicative and responded to text messages and calls even on the weekend. Despite the hiccup, he continued to text me and asked questions about the job later that evening. The items that I had to get on the side (base shoe molding) were well described and also included visual samples.
