It is soooo sad that Anna is sooo friendly and picks up the pieces that when you have an appointment and your appointment is the beginning of their shift and they are always late!!! We all have a schedule we need to follow and when the first appointment starts late, that means when you go to your next appointment they run late as they also have a schedule too!!!Jen is the most unprofessional nail tech ALWAYS LATE, never says she is sorry! I feel it is sooo rude! Had a gel fill with NO tips, and changed me $55:00 which should have been $50:00! Jen, stop changing your prices!! By the way had a fill less then 2wks ago! Would not recommend. Absolutely debated even writing this review. I've been here twice both times gel pedi first time w/ acrylic overlay and second with full acrylic set. First experience was good, good vibe good people just quiet and sitting on there phones. Pedi was good acrylic overlay was okay it chipped after 4 days which I thought maybe was normal for acrylic overlay. (It was my first time ever getting that service from anyone and I requested it wouldn't be that thick, so I can understand chipping if it's from that) Second time pedi was okay the lady Anna was just a bit scared to cut my toe nails which I had to request she cut shorter twice cause they were still long. Then comes the part straight from hell. I was handed off to Trish. Automatically I tried to be nice to my respective service provider who seemed like she could care less about being there. I showed her my design and she already looked pissed, like I interrupted her show. She takes pictures of my inspo and get started, cool. I'm quiet not much to say to someone who looks like she doesn't even wanna be working much less talk to a stranger, so i compliment her sample nails which OMG off design alone 1000/10. And she just brushes me off which okay maybe she's working I think to myself (I had also arrived after a 5hr trip so I didn't feel like talking either which was okay with me, I just don't know if it made her feel like I was being rude which was not my intent) Halfway through my base which was beautiful, I tell her it's bomb! A good base means a good set to me... once again 0 absolutely and I mean ZERO REACTION out of her not even a fake retail smile!! Then while she's doing my design she says "this is a detailed design" which told me okay, she does not want to do my nails and this is exactly why she's acting like that. And that's not even the freaking complaint!! The complaint is she couldn't even put a clear coat on to save her life! She mustve been so ready to get me out of her chair cause her clear coat didn't even cover to the top edge of my nail. It literally DID NOT EVEN COVER MY FREAKIN NAIL! LEAVING MY EXPENSIVE DESIGN EXPOSED AND MY METALLIC POWDER CAUSING IT TO FADE. IN TWO DAYS! Bro TWO DAYS FOR $105 and I gave $10 tip SOLELY FOR HER DESIGN WORK, I was debating on not even giving tip in the first place that attitude was so bad! When I got back to California I had to go to my local shop and get clear coat put on for an additional $10. Which has led me to a rock and a hard place. Now my freaking clear coat is chipping and ruining my $100 nails that I got done on Saturday 11/1. Like crazy work!!!!! My nails were incomplete and I didn't realize till Monday while looking at my nails in full sunlight where I saw the clear coat didn't even fully cover my nail. Like I wish so bad I could get my money back, I hadn't gotten my nails done in SIX MONTHS! And finally bit the bullet to get my $100 set and boom! A set from HELL! STRAIGHT FROM HELL!!! I give her credit where credit is due! She is so talented but she needs to work on that attitude respectfully. As someone who works in retail and a service provider as well treating customers like this is absolutely not acceptable! Whenever I have experiences like this it definitely puts me in my place, but I truly feel for people that have to experience this from her daily. Buyer beware. Quality is most definitely NOT THERE. Really wishing I would've just saved my money and came to my nail lady in California. (Pictures show chipping of clear coat after having to get additiycoat put on, also shows where original clear coat is and had to get an additional layer on top which) A Hail Mary resulting from this would be if half of my $180 that was spent there which of course just my luck in cash!!! Would be returned. And the only reason both my mom and I paid I cash was BECAUSE THEY HAVE SIGNS SAYING THEY GIVE "cash discount" and that "everything has a card price and cash price" just to not get that LMFAOO, don't publicly post something you're not gonna honor!! If I could I would do no stars! Went on 2/17/2026 and asked for a soak off. Not sure the name of the lady doing my nails, but she proceeded to use an acrylic tip, to take off my nails. She was able to rip off the pinky, which caused damage to my nails. Got to the ring finger, and ripped a good chunk of my nail off. Both nails were bleeding and are hurting, so that's fun. After finally realizing, maybe I shouldn't do this, she went to file them down with her machine. No soak off whatsoever, which is what was originally requested. So I still have acrylic left over, which won't come off until I pay for another soak off or let them grow out. Ladies if you're just going for a soak off, I would not recommend. I probably could have done this at home for free and without damaging my nails! read more

I called 1st thing in am and asked for Anna, two in the front said she couldn't do it and the other said she wasn't there so I was given someone else. Anna was there and I was totally ignored. I went to AJ Nails & Spa today as a treat to myself. Little did I know it would be an absolute horrific experience. I paid for the pedicure with the callus remover. When Ann went to use the cheese grater looking thing on my foot, IT WAS ALREADY USED AND DIRTY FULL OF SOMEONE ELSE'S SHAVINGS! When I pointed it out to her, she LIED and said that was from me?! Then she proceeded to rinse off the tool IN THE WATER WHERE MY FEET WERE. I asked her to change the water, BECAUSE I WAS ABSOLUTELY APPALLED. And at first she tried to tell me she would not! Until I was insistent because WHO THE HELL RINSES OFF THE CALLUS TOOL WHERE MY FEET ARE STILL SOAKING?! I let the manager know at checkout but who knows if they actually give a shit or will do anything about it. I definitely don't recommend this place at all. My husband and I tried AJs this morning in an attempt to find a place that didn't have wait (first mistake was cheating on my OG salon) for a manicure and pedicure. Upon arrival, there was no wait and they got my husband and me in immediately; this serves as one of the two stars I am willing to give. A guy ended up doing my nails (Ken, I think) and my immediate impression was the smell of his cigarette smoke. I then asked for a basic pedicure, which was nothing short of awful. After what can be described as a two minute filing job (not even at all) I had to ask to have my big toes cleaned (the sides and under the nail). In an unsuccessful attempt to do so, he cut my nail too deep ... stopping only when I jerked my foot back. The nails look horrible and I am walking out with damage to my toenail as my ingrowns in both big toes remain. I am assuming his interpretation was cut the sides of the nails and when I visibly upset, keep going. As I chose not to get polish or continue going, I then sat there and waited for my husband; never once did anyone ask about the manicure I came in asking for. I would have said no thank you, but I was disregarded. The other star I am willing to give is that my husbands pedicure was with a lovely woman and she seemed nice. My husbands nails look fine, but she was focused on me and my consistent redirection. He feels they'd tipped trying because I was being "difficult" (he didn't feel my requests were, he felt they felt that). Save yourself the trouble and stick with another place. read more

The prices here are outrageous for the quality and service you get. The customer service was poor, and a few other employees even came over to my station to look at my nails and seemed to be gossiping about them -- it was uncomfortable and unprofessional. the first time I went here everything was awesome, I got exactly what I asked for and the staff was friendly. the last two times i've stopped in, I have left so defeated. I rarely have any time to myself so getting my nails done is kinda big... my nails were so horrid and for like $100+ after tip?? I wasn't comfortable asking for it to be fixed because my cuticles were already raw and tender from the drill and how rough everything was. it's all so unacceptable, unfortunately I don't think i'll be going back. edit to respond to the owner's comment- the shape of my nails were all lopsided and uneven looking. my cuticles were RAW from the drill being used on my skin over and over. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. My pedicure was gifted to me by my husband. He came in a few days prior and PAID nearly $80 for it- received a printed receipt and text verification for the appointment. I get my pedicure but didn't know which pedicure he booked so I actually chose a cheaper one. When I went to check out I told them my husband had already paid and showed them the receipt. Three different ladies fought with me for 15 minutes about how I needed to show them a gift receipt (which when I called my husband he said they never gave him one). Thankfully the owner was the one my husband paid with, but he was not there at the moment. They finally called him and he verified that he remembered my husband coming in and paying for it. I had the invoice for them to look up and my husband's number that was associated with the purchase but they just wanted to argue with me that if he had gifted me a pedicure he 100% would have gotten a gift receipt... like it was our fault that they forgot to give us one. They wanted my husband to drive over in person and drop whatever he was doing to talk to him. Because My husband paid more than what I ended up getting, I opted to tip the guy $20 (34% tip) that did my pedicure because the other option was to get a gift card to them in which I would have to spend more money at their establishment. read more

Please go elsewhere. I only came here because my nail tech is on vacation and won't be back for a while. I asked for short sharp French tips. Not sharp, semi short and the French design is laughable. (Most are different sized French lines) the other hand is worse. Crooked nails and no me finger doesn't move that way. The lady Cynthia needs to take some design classes and be kinder to guests. My husband and I went to this spa for a manicure and pedicure while vacationing. Approximately 10 minutes after leaving, I realized I left my Apple Watch on the manicurist's station, as I had taken it off during my manicure so that the manicurist could apply lotion to my hands and forearms. I called the spa immediately upon realizing I had left my watch behind. The employee who answered the phone advised they did not see my watch anywhere in the spa and suggested I go home and look for it. I had gone to the gym prior to getting my nails done, so I know I had it on when I got my manicure because I used it during my workout. My husband and I drove back to the spa and began checking the spa. We did not find my watch upon returning. I inquired about their camera system, asking if it worked so that I could notify the police that their shop was equipped with a camera system when I filed a police report for lost property. The employee at the front desk reviewed their camera system and determined I was wearing it when I came into their spa and checked in. Long story short, their camera system caught one of their employees stealing my watch off the station I sat at during my manicure. He took it home with him, as he has clocked out for the day. The store owner called the employee and confronted her employee and made him bring it back. The employee wouldn't even look at me and made some BS excuse as to why he had my watch, even though I activated the lock on it indicating it had been lost with my phone number on the screen. read more

We were fortunate enough to walk into this place on their very first day open! Having travelled with one sister and our mother all the way from Southern California to spend one day with my third sister here in Arizona, we found this lovely nail salon. We are here celebrating an important anniversary together and even more momentous we're able to get my sister who is almost two years post stroke out of the house for an outing for the first time. This salon run by a lovely family, showed us all so much care and attention. I had a beautiful mani pedi. My disabled sister was able to enjoy the most attentive, caring mani and pedi. I'm disappointed that I have to give this salon 1 star. It was my first time here and I got a gel polish change on my nails and my sister got a pedicure. The salon itself looks very nice, my first impression was wow what a pretty interior. Unfortunately the service did not match! KEN did my nails and his attitude absolutely ruined my experience. I was so upset at the way he spoke to me i was nearly shaking at one point and seriously contemplated getting up and leaving. But it's Christmas Eve and I just wanted to have cute nails for the holiday. The issue started when I asked if he could test the color first on my nails and then I'd decide between two colors. I'm sorry but if I'm paying for gel and have to look at the color for 2 weeks, I need to make sure I like it. I have NEVER had a nail tech get mad over this and even had some offer it without me asking just to make sure I liked it. He gave me attitude over it. Then I asked his opinion on which color he liked better between the two. He said in a very pissy tone, raising his voice at me: I DONT KNOW, WHAT DO YOU WANT? Again - a little shocking considering I've had nail techs many times give me suggestions or their thoughts on a color and I appreciate input: makes sense considering they do nails all day every day, right? Not KEN, he was OFFENDED I asked his opinion. He proceeded to talk shit about me immediately to another employee, as though I'm some idiot and don't realize he's complaining about me in Vietnamese immediately after giving me attitude. It gets worse. I was getting a transparent, glittery color and asked if he could use white polish as the base coat. This REALLY seemed to irritate him as he snapped at me over it, raised his voice at me: YOU WANT WHITE NOW? I looked him dead in the eye and said yes, is that a problem? He repeated himself in the same bitchy tone, and so I repeated myself again as well. He seemed HIGHLY exasperated that I dare ask for a base coat. Just so rude and unnecessary to treat your customer that way when they're merely asking for the color they want on their nail. I will add I'm a super polite customer until I'm given a reason not to be. The requests I gave him I asked in a very kind and respectful way. Now onto the application: his hands were shaking the entire time which caused him to apply the white unevenly and poorly. I am not one to insult anyone's medical condition and I'm not sure if he had one that would cause the shaking, but he shouldn't be a nail tech if he has a condition that interferes with applying polish evenly. It looked so bad I was afraid I'd have to get it redone. Thankfully the multiple coats of sparkly polish he put on top evened it out (although I didn't care for how thick he made the coats). My sister's pedicure was done by someone else and they did NOT do a quality job. They got polish on her skin all around her nails. It really was not worth what I paid for our poor experience. I felt bad as I had never had this happen anywhere else we've been, and I've been to plenty salons across the west coast. I am really disappointed because the salon itself is beautiful. I don't know if I'll give it another try but I sure as hell won't allow KEN to touch my nails again. If he spoke like that to me, I'd hate to see how he talks to his wife. AJ Nails - teach your employees some common courtesy and respect toward customers. It's NOT acceptable to raise your voice at a customer over nothing and make them feel like their business is an inconvenience to you. read more

The nails were very pretty but the nail tech had such a negative and off putting attitude. When it was time to pay she gave me a piece of paper with three numbers on it. 55/10/25. I asked why so much as all I wanted was French with chrome on top and I wasn't understanding what the extra 25$ was for. Her response was well so the math... that doesn't answer my question. She than walked away and I had no choice but to pay the 90$. In my opinion these nails are cute but sure not cute enough to be 90$ . Never going back read more

I had a HORRIBLE pedicure here. I really needed a moment to relax and that was far from what I got. I upgraded my pedicure to get a sea salt scrub, callus remover and hot stones. The callus remover was put on and immediately scrubbed off, the scrub was slopped on (not massaged by any means) and rinsed off. The massage was maybe 2 minutes per leg and had no effort put into it. I still had dead skin all around my nails and on top of it all, they didn't even have the nail polish color I chose! The hot stones damn near burned me and I'm not sure what the point of them were. I had even expressed that I was unsatisfied and she made a poor attempt to fix anything. I took a chance here and will NEVER go back!! read more

I made an appt for a Pedi and when I got there every chair was full and every chair in the waiting area was full! The guy looked a little stressed and told me sorry and that I would have to wait for at least 20 minutes! Needless to say, I walked out! What is the point of making an appt if they let walk ins bump you! The parking there is also terrible because there is a busy Starbucks right next door and the drive thru blocks some of the parking spots. I had to drive through the parking lot 3 times, to finally find parking! I will not be back! Very bad 1st impression for me! read more

So I wanted to give this place another shot since it's close to home. I find it interesting my post from January is gone where the tech was sick and give me Covid. Moving on to this visit. I had a 10am appointment for a pedi I walked in at 9:55 three chairs full already. I was put in a chair with water in the bowel. The lady next to me was a walk in but asked for a specific person so she got helped first. Then another lady came in and was helped first. I guess because they asked for a specific person where I didn't. Then after they finished with the lady next me she took out the round massager and put it in my tub. Then she said another client asked for her someone else was on the way so she helped her first. I asked how much longer. She said someone was on the way.
