Hiring Tom to drive us around was the BEST decision we made during our wine tasting weekend!…read more First, Tom is extremely courteous and attentive. While wine tasting, Tom would go back to the car and grab a box for our purchased wine. He'd work with the tasting associate to load up our goodies and would carry the box back to the car. Second, Tom is extremely knowledgeable. While I somewhat expected him to know a few things about the area, Tom seemed to know EVERYTHING about the various wineries, landscape and viticulture of the region. There were many times I noticed the tasting room associate looking at Tom for information, and he would kindly jump in and finish THEIR story. Kind of entertaining to watch. Third, he is very trustworthy. His business model is that he meets you at a predetermined location (i.e. your hotel) and then drives your car. Because of this, we arranged for Tom to drop us off in downtown Walla Walla and he drove our car back to our hotel so that we only needed 1 Uber ride and had our car for the morning. Extremely convenient and I would have zero issues doing that again. Lastly, the price is worth it. The fantastic service aside, it was very worth the money to avoid driving intoxicated. The walk down Main Street called out landmarks, both the ones of usual history and the long tradition of madams and prostitution in Walla Walla. The architecture is fabulous. The luncheon in the Kirkman House included a docent dressed as Mr. Kirkman. Learning that Walla Walla was the center of a county that included all of Idaho, part of Montana and two thirds of Washington just after Oregon became a state made clear that Walla Walla was special. Back on Main Street, we made stops at the Walla Walla Bread Co and Wingman Birdz and Brews. Then down a side street to the Colville Street Patisserie for gelato. We finished with a casual wine tasting at Henry Earl Estates tasting room. The group size is kept to 10 or less. The banter is fun. As we pulled up to the winery's drop off and pick up area, the sprinter van belonging to Walla Walla Wine Limos was blocking the entrance. Our driver, politely got out to let the other driver know that our group had someone that was mobility challenged and if he wouldn't mind pulling forward a little bit. The drivers, from Walla Walla Wine Limo's, response was to flip our driver the finger and tell him too bad, park around back. To avoid conflict and to keep our experience positive, our driver parked on the side of the winery. As we exited our vehicle, the WWWL driver stood in an aggressive stance and glared at each of the people in our group. A few of the people in his group came over and apologized for their driver's behavior. What a turd. There was no reason for his demeanor and attitude.

Not knowing much about the region or the wineries we felt almost overwhelmed by where to begin. From the start of booking, as we crafted the itinerary they were super responsive and provided great suggestions for wineries to visit and curated the tour by our preferences of reds and roses. The car was clean and stocked with water and iced coffee, which was a nice pick-me-up throughout our day. A yummy lunch was also included which we stopped to enjoy while visiting one of the wineries during our tasting. Imbibe was also conscious to ask whether anyone in our group had dietary restrictions - one person didn't eat red meat and they were able accommodate a separate meal for them as well. Jay was our driver for the day and was absolutely fantastic! Having lived in area for years he was very familiar with each of the wineries and their histories, so he provided a little background as we were on our way to each. After a winery or two, you lose track of time, at least I know we did :) so Jay was also great about keeping us on schedule.
