I upped my rating to four stars only because I think he's a really good guy and I'm not trying to ruin his business with a bad review. I still don't think I'll be returning, the last few encounters have been awkward and I'd rather just move on. But I do appreciate that the owner was willing to reach out to me personally. Just be wary of other employees and do your research on part pricing. ---------------------------- Pretty bummed about my recent experiences here. I used to only deal with Gilbert, and he was amazing. Always made me feel comfortable, was very upfront about what I needed and didn't need in order to save me money. I sent everyone to this garage when they asked for recommendations. In the last year and a half or so, I've been dealing with a different younger employee. HeI've needed a lot more work done the older my car gets. I felt pressured to make unnecessary repairs in my car (even got text messages a month after telling him I couldn't afford any extra repairs, they insisted on fixing my struts). I was quoted $1200 for a recent job but had to pay $1400. That never happened with Gilbert. After that, a few days after getting my car back I had a steering issue. Felt suspicious because he had explicitly told me I might have a steering issue in the future but I had over a year before I needed to worry about it. I took the car back, and was quoted $300. I brought a knowledgeable friend with me who called him out on the repair being their fault and also on the quoted price being outrageous. We found the part for $30. My friend repaired it in a half hour. I miss Gilbert and have lost faith in this shop. Unfortunately don't think I'll be returning.

They cited that their shop has been sued multiple times in the past Which makes me wonder what they have done to be sued so many times that they had to create a policy. The gentleman behind the desk and one of the mechanics suggested that I lie in the future about having done any work on my car so they are actually promoting lying and dishonest acts Which further makes me worry about and wonder about their integrity and adds Creedence to the fact that they have been sued multiple times. I would highly recommend trying somewhere else and not doing any business with this place. My father and brother were mechanics and I grew up around a garage and it is worrisome and unethical to turn down work out of fear of being sued again. There are plenty of other garages in the area. I recommend seeking out one of them.

After calling around to see if anyone could repair it for cheap, I happened upon Leonard's. After talking with Frank, I decided to bring it in. My car is not the nicest. What can I say, I like beaters!…read more I took my 2001 Honda Civic to this place with a specific problem of overheating. I suspected a leak as the coolant had been requiring replenishing over the course of two weeks. I also requested he check out my front end, my alignment had been pretty funky since an impact earlier that year. He found a leaky hose, which he replaced, then flushed the system as well as checking the fan. All of this was performed after he spoke with me with a verbal explanation of the issues as well as an accurate estimate of repairs and labor. When I picked my car up I inquired about the front end work. Tony's response was, ahem, quite frank. "You need struts on both ends, a new axle, something about a bolt....(I made that last one up), you need a new car". I expected something to that effect, I was hoping it would be a little ways away though. That directness was very much appreciated from someone who had everything to gain from a nickel and dime scheme. There could have been a replacement here and a repair there which led to an eventual small fortune being spent on a car that is not worth it. So I'm saving up and if my new car needs anything I'll be back!

While on a trip from Chicago to New Jersey for a family wedding, the breaks on our 2013 Toyota Sienna began making a sound when used. My wife and 3 kids were already antsy about the drive, this breaks issue made them more anxious and annoyed. Not knowing the reliable service locations in the area, I put the word "breaks" in Google. We went to Meineke, a franchise name I recognized. They quoted us $600+ for new front breaks and rotors. That seemed pricey. We left and called a few other locations on the Google list. One service location we called was very busy and said they could fit us in for the following day. We couldn't wait that long as we had to be at a wedding in NJ that next day. When we called Tire & Wheel Automotive Service Center, Tim picked up, listened to our predicament and offered to help in an expedited manner. We brought the van in, showed him the Meineke quote and Tim immediately quoted us $100 less and said that they'd be able to expedite our repair due to our schedule/need. While in the waiting area, we met Dave, a low key stand up comedian, who made every effort to make our family us comfortable, including changing TV channels and making great small talk. Both Tim and Dave are so down to earth, kind, and friendly people. As an example, during the wait for the repair to be completed a guy with a mobile food business pulled up to the repair shop and sold some food to the employees. My kids went out to buy some snacks and drinks, but when they tried to pay, Tim wouldn't let them, he paid for my kids. I couldn't believe how lucky we were to meet such friendly, generous, and honorable people. Our brakes were repaired in less than 2 hours and we were on the road a little while later. The repair shop also had a way to finance the repair via a 3rd party company called Snap. We were grateful to be able to have the option to finance the cost of repair, as we didn't budget break replacements in our trip budget. The financing part took some time to go through, due to the Snap company's lack of timely customer service, Dave and Tim did everything on their end to make the transaction go through, and it finally did work. On the way back from the wedding we made sure to stop by and bring the guys some Kristy Kreme donuts as a thank you for their k service and kindness.
