This place is close to a pub we used to go to all the time! We were over in no time and walked in. It was pretty empty but it was raining pretty hard when we dropped in. We had a scan at the menu and they had some specials. You could get a main but you could also make it a combo where you get a side and a drink. After having a quick look through the menu, I definitely wanted a scallion pancake with an egg. I combo'd it so I got a hash brown as well as a milk tea. We grabbed a seat, the seating in here is limited but I can't see people sitting in here for too long. I just wanted to give you a heads up in case you come with a large group. Our order was out in no time in a bunch of wrapped paper wrappers. I ripped open all my bags to check out my breakfast and they looked alright. The pancake with egg was decent as well as the hash brown I got. The milk tea wasn't overly sweet. This place has quite a number of different breakfast options and interesting ones that I'd definitely come by to try something else. The items I ordered were decent enough I'd grab them in a pinch if I was in the area. The service was super friendly and prices weren't bad!

SO GOOD. The food is DELICIOUS…read more This small Taiwanese place is great for a to-go style meal. The seating section is small so not the best for big groups or hanging out. We ordered: Braised Pork Rice Traditional Taiwanese Rice Ball (the fried egg one) Ham Puff Pastry Sandwich They were all around $10-$12 each The problem was the incredibly long wait time. For these 3 items to go, I probably waited 15-20 minutes which is too long, but I forgave them after tasting the food

You get the very crunchy fried fritter + mustard greens + meat floss. It's delicious. If you don't know how to speak Mandarin, there will be a moment of confusion! Unfortunately, she is not fluent in English, but she does know enough to take the order! You can always call ahead to order on the phone too! I would 100% go back to get more rice rolls. The drinks are not to my taste, but that's just me! They were interesting to try. The iced milk tea tastes like a traditional Taiwanese milk tea - a hint of bergamot. The rice milk tea - I've never had before! It's got a beautifully nutty flavor and is served hot. I will be back to try more food, but no to the drinks for me!

I came here on a weekday, there was no line, hardly anyone on the second floor. I looked at their menu (lots of options) and finally got the attention of the worker inside and pointed to the picture of what I wanted. There was a bit of back and forth with the worker, she kept waving me to look at the menu to tell her what I wanted, but I was clearly pointing to the photo of what I wanted. Service was a bit rude, she wasn't very friendly, nor did she try to understand what I wanted. I didn't think language barrier would be an issue if I was clearly pointing to the photo of what I wanted in my sticky rice. I will say that the sticky rice was very delicious and well balanced. It was VERY greasing on the exterior of their packaging which was saran wrap. The food made it a better rating, but I can't shake off the rude customer service. Questionable if I will be back though.

I have an onion and garlic intolerance (I will be sick for 2-4 days if I get any), and some restaurants are born good with handling that. The staff checked all the prepped stuff and sauces and came back with suggestions of what I could have. One of the suggestions was the sukiyaki hotpot. I enjoyed it so much I've been back twice for it, and will be going in the future. The first visit was with friends, and they all really enjoyed their food as well, so my dish isn't a lone syandout.

We decided to share a bunch of dishes so we can try a bit of everything. The popcorn chicken was so delicious, perfectly crunchy and well seasoned. The BBQ sausage was very flavorful. The beef steak egg pancake was also good, though a bit oilier than expected. Our sukiyaki hotpot with udon had a nice, comforting broth and the toppings were solid. My favourite was the house-special minced pork on rice. Its a pretty simple dish but always hits the spot. The portion size is a bit smaller than if you were to compare to a traditional Chinese style restaurant. I would say this place leans more toward trendy, individual/fusion-style Taiwanese dining rather than big family style platters. In our case, with 5 people sharing mostly appetizers / smaller dishes, we ended up spending about $20 per person (tip + tax included) which is still a pretty good deal. I'd absolutely go back for the popcorn chicken and the minced-pork rice bowl again.

We had pork hock, fried chicken bits, egg-yolk sauced chicken wings and this $25 set meal with noodles and soup - amongst other food items. Fairly priced and quite spacious dining area. Apparently this is a very famous restaurant in Taiwan so it's great that we can try it here in Toronto! My Taiwanese friend did the ordering as she was familiar with the popular dishes to try. She ordered two lunch specials. One lunch set was a little pricier for about $25 but if you pay cash there is 10% off on this item. This lunch set was really worth it as this combo included 6 side dishes, a main dish with a soup or milk tea...and for the main dish, you could choose Danmi noodles or Minced pork rice and we picked the noodles since we got the Pork Hock & Minced pork rice for our 2nd lunch set. The two of us shared all the items except my friend insisted that I have the marinated abalone side dish and this was so good! I will definitely be coming back because of this dish! I also liked the Danmi noodles and Pork Hock. Although the food was amazing but the service was lacking. It wasn't busy when we got there just before noon on a Wednesday and we had to wave the staff for help several times and the staff didn't even take our order correctly as we had asked for two tea and they only brought one. I will still be back as the food was really good and I love Taiwanese food!
