Out of the way spot in the town of Swords, close to the airport and Dublin City Center. Our host was super nice, we told her we couldn't have breakfast the next morning because of our early tour bus scheduled, so she said she'd leave some food out to have in the morning before we venture out. The breakfast we did eat at her place was a Full Irish Breakfast, quite delicious. Our room was nice sized for a bnb room. Ensuite bathroom, tv, free Wi-Fi, hair dryer, electric tea kettle, shower toiletries, clean towels, extra blankets and pillows. What else could you need? Our host even drew directions to a nearby pub. I'd recommend this bnb.

The Guesthouse is privately owned and you can tell because it has a very individual feel that no chain of hotels can really replicate. The rooms are a good size and given the location being in the center of the city it's not really too noisy when at night. Breakfast is also inlcuded in the price which is a bonus. It's only 10 minutes wlk to the main shopping area of Grafton Street from here and it's also very close to the infamous Temple Bar area. Overall it's an enjoyable experience to stay at the Lyndon Guesthouse and I'll definitely stay there again.

The service was horrendous. The toilet wasn't repaired and we weren't offered compensation. After the first night we demanded to get a new room with a functioning toilet to which our hosts reacted as if we were totally overreacting.

My only real complaint about the place was that the shower never got above warm (my biggest vice is a hot shower.) My friends and I got a triple room, and two of the twins were pushed together in a double. We asked the night receptionist if we could get them separated and she sort of abruptly said "unzip them". (That wasn't the right answer - what about the fact that we had one sheet set and comforter and no way to set up one bed into two). We ended up having an awkward bed share night that we had specifically tried to avoid in advance, so that was annoying. Breakfast is sad - some cold cereal and bread and some juices from boxes. Coffee is powdered. When I checked under the bed for a ring I thought I had lost, I saw maybe why they didn't bother to separate the beds - the floor underneath was disgusting, with food and dirt and dust. There is no lobby to speak of, just a narrow hallway where the receptionist sits. There are elevators, which is nice and was about the last elevator I saw in the rest of my Ireland hotels. The location is good, within walking distance to Temple Bar and the Guinness Storehouse and some of the other receptionists and the bartenders were nice. All in all, it wasn't horrible, but there is probably a lot better for the amount it cost.

1/1 found this review helpful…read more A view of a room on the 4th floor - The day we were leaving :( We stayed at this hotel because it was, at the time, the most affordable hotel that was centrally located and offered a full breakfast! We were right next to alot of the shops and fun places to hit up - everything you would really want to do was within 2-3 minute walk down O'Connell Street. The hotel is small, and if you walk past it, and didnt look close enough, you would probably miss it. The staff was always very friendly, and they lock the front entrance at night. When you come in, they check your name on the list to make sure you are registered at the hotel - which made me feel safe. The breakfast was great - and it was made quicker then any breakfast I had ever had. We would go up and get our drinks, and the woman would come out, ask how we wanted our eggs, and 2 minutes after we sat down - we had a wonderfully hot FULL Irish Breakfast that I couldn't complain about one bit. As far as appearance, everything was pretty neat and clean, although one floor had paint peeling all off the walls (it looked as if they were preparing to work on it). Our room was always spotless from the cleaning staff, and they even organized our books, food and toiletries. When I come back and stay again in Dublin, and believe me I will, the Abbey Hotel will be at the top of my list when looking into places to stay!

its your typical travelodge hotel. you spend the night and your out the next day. cant really…read moreexpect to much. we were looking for a cheap place to stay since were only staying for sleep only. this travelodge is quite a ways from the city but its not that bad. as for the hotel when we checked in it was fast but we had to pay for wifi. we request three bed so when we go to the room there was a bed a couch and a little mattress underneath the couch that your pull out. there was coffee and tea. everything was fine for what we paid for.
