Call Wes if you're worried about getting ripped off by an HVAC company.
Last year I had another HVAC company quote me close to $10,000 for a much bigger repair, including a leak repair I wasn't convinced I needed. The whole thing felt like a sales process. They even brought in a closer after the tech. This isn't car sales lol. So I passed.
Wes gave me really good vibes immediately. He came out the same day, stayed as long as it took, explained what he was doing, paid attention to my budget, and never once tried to scare me into spending more money than I needed to -- unlike the other guys lol.
The biggest difference was that Wes actually seemed to care whether I was happy with the result, not whether he could call the job finished.
At the end I was still complaining that my house wasn't cold enough and instead of getting defensive, brushing me off, or trying to sell me something else, he basically said, if this doesn't work, I'll figure out why and come back.
Turns out I was wrong. Wes was right. By the next day my house was freezing, and I've gone the rest of the summer without an AC problem. I actually still feel bad for arguing with him because he's such a nice dude lol.
And it didn't end when he got paid. He checked in afterward to make sure everything was working properly. Months later, he was still thinking about how my house could run more efficiently and literally popped by because he was in the area and wanted to check on the AC. That's hella nice. I obviously can't promise everyone gets a random Wes wellness check on their air conditioner, but that is some ridiculous customer service.
I'm pretty skeptical of contractors and ask a lot of questions because I'm a woman and I'm used to being ripped off lol. Wes earned my trust. He's a great dude, knows his stuff, and is actually super fun to do business with. I would call him again without even shopping the job around first -- and coming from me, that probably says everything. read more
