He is always pleasant, professional and very polite. He made sure to ask if we have had any issues with our system since the last service, and whether or not they were addressed to our satisfaction. Dennis is very thorough.He checked to make sure that everything was working properly before he left, and asked if we had any questions or concerns. When he left, I felt really confident that the best job had been done, because it was obvious to me that he was genuinely concerned in doing a good job. They sent out a short guy who always wore a jaunty cap..I say always because he came out every year. Every year on the the coldest night the furnace blew cold air...this same short guy came "fiddled about" got it working charged a few hundred bucks ...then left..until the next year, when I woke up in freezing cold air blowing on me. This happened more than ten years...same guy same cap...I was on his route. I was his pigeon he got paid because I was a stooge. I finally got a professional in RAS in Pompton Plains... They replaced the system at thousands of dollars, but that was 5 years ago.. And I've never had a problem since. Johnston should have stopped ripping me off..over the years I spent thousands with them replacing burners, cleaning igniters, etc..that short beanie wearing scammer and his boss should have advised me to replace. Also checked two additional units for freon and accepted $99 coupon and charged for only 1 unit inspection. Very happy with 190$ total and a good job. Will use again. Much better experience then last time.

We had a mini split system with 5 wall units and a boiler heating system that needed a bit more…read morethan routine maintenance. We have an older home and finding a technician who has knowledge and experience with both kinds of systems at a good price can be hard, but Legacy came through. Charlie was prompt when scheduling a time to service both systems and made it a very easy choice to go with them. He explained exactly what was done and what still needed to be done very clearly and was very accomodating. Both heating systems are working much better now and I would recommend Charlie to anyone in our area of NJ.

Legacy installed new Bosch heat pump heating and air conditioning systems as well as a Rheem hot…read morewater heater in my lake house. His workers that he claimed graduated from HVAC training school, did not know what they were doing. Charlie was not much better. He advertises himself as a licensed expert HVAC installer, but he did not know how to wire the Bosch system. He claimed it was a new model, and he had not installed it before. After we had no heat in the sub-freezing winter temperatures, he had to call the company for step-by-step instructions. The noise level of this system is unbearable and sounds like a wind tunnel. We have to increase the volume on the TV when the heat kicks on. In October he promised to install a noise reduction system in the attic (at my expense). It is now June and I am still waiting even though I have asked him numerous times when he is coming. He says we live too far away. Well, he shouldn't have taken the job if it was too far to travel to our property. The service has been terrible. At this point he will not even return my texts and calls to schedule the spring maintenance which was included in the price. Needless to say, I do not recommend this company for any HVAC work. Months later I found out he closed the business and moved out of state! How do these people sleep at night?
