They installed my ac unit not up to code. I only found out because i had another company to come and service the unit. Had to call them to come back to fix the code problem. Airmax is the worst company out there. My service was horribly and was not done professionally. This company was sent through AHS because my central AC wasn't working. They came out did a diagnostic told me there was a leak in the coil and that needed to be replaced plus a new drain pan and locking caps. I was also told I needed 6 pounds of refrigerant that was nearly 700 dollars. A fee days later the techs came out to install the items in which they only installed the coil that wasn't installed properly and the size was too small. My unit only worked for a little over a week and I had to do 2 recall with AHS. When the manager David came out, he showed no remorse that his techs didn't complete the job right and told me that he thinks there is a leak in the wall and that I would have to pay another 3500 dollars for them to break the wall and replace the pipe. The problem before hand was never looked into and my air is still not working in the middle of this Georgia heat. Please stay far away from this company. It seems like they hire people with little to no experience that don't know what they are doing. I felt like I got ripped off paying 1350.00 for repairs that were not done correctly and incomplete. Erica your last statement was incorrect! So much so that AHS is refunding my service fee! Per AHS, your tech should have properly diagnose the cause of the leak and then get authorization to repair the unit and he did not. Instead he tried to charge me $220 for Freon to put into a unit that he stated was leaking! Make that make sense! Buyer beware of the bait and switch tactics used by this company! read more

I have been trying to call and can never get through. They came and did work in my house last week. I have no work order paperwork to state what they found needing to be replace or what they did. No warranty on the part. The business phone always go to full voice-mail. Now I have to try and someone to call me back from American home sheild. So unprofessional. I ask that the tech wear mask..no mask or shoe covers. I had my godson let him in while I wasn't there and he said the guy..didn't show him what was done. Very unhappy because my ac is still now properly working. Please van someone return my call. Right now I would avoid using them if given the opportunity. I told ahs that the reviews weren't good. But I would have had to pay another service fee for a new contractor. They also send me an $800 bill although my insurance covered it at 100%. They saidtl the bill generated in error. Unfortunately it looks like they contract with the home warranty people. They came to my house to check on why the unit wasn't cooling and made the reference it was his last stop. Went in the attic for about 5 mins. Came down. Worst service ever. Called my home owners warranty and they referred my case to this company. Was given a Tuesday window of 9am to 2pm. Should of known something when the technician arrived after 2pm. Technician spent 15 min to say "your unit is leaking Freon and I need to pay $600 today to get a fixed. I challenged him and asked what about the rest of the unit. I don't want a bandaid, I want a complete diagnosis. Technician told me I need to call my home owner warranty. After multiple calls to the office finally spoke to manager Erica. Wow can't believe a manager thinks like that. She was very disrespectful and dismissive. Told me they have called Home owner warranty and the hold time was too long. Needless to say it's the middle of summer and it's now 4 days since they came out. It took me 4 days to get an appointment, I spoke with Erica on Friday for my Tech to come at 4pm. I was at work. Kenny call me at 0820 says he was on the way, I told him it was noted to come after 4 , I got email said Kenny came at 1:47, I start calling Kenny and Airmax at 3:00 pm at least 25 times no one never answered the phone ( hours from 8am-5pm) left me in the house all weekend with no air. My home warranty sent this company out to diagnose and repair my non working a/c unit. The gentleman took off my thermostats and went up into my attic checked outside and came back in and said he doesn't know what he did but it's fixed. 2 days later I wake up fire alarms and water pouring from my ceiling. Fire department comes out and states that it was clogged and my entire attic is flooded leaking through my ceiling. Call home warranty company they state the vendor denies ever going in the attic and only looked at the thermostat. Stated they were unavailable to come back out to review or repair. If I could give them a -5 I would. Worst service ever. Do not use this company. Home warranty company sent them out and they came out said they needed to to get a part. That was at 10:00 am yesterday. Called at 4:30 pm yesterday to say they had an emergency to take care of and would come back today. Showed up said the compressor was bad and could not fix it. Wanted to me to sign a paper saying job was complete. The guy actually looked at me and said "What do you want me to do?". Hmmmm, let me see FIX IT! read more

Not a company I would ever want to do business with again. They never fixed my AC correctly and left me with out AC for 2 months in the summertime. read more

A terrible company with the worst technicians and customer service. Courtesy and civility are dead here. They take on far too many service calls and get DAYS behind. We were rescheduled several times and lost three days from work having waited the entire day twice for them to not show up. In particular, if you are using them in tandem with a home warranty service, you're screwed. JUST TERRIBLE, SKETCHY AND A DISGRACE. read more
