I was given the choice of three estimates which were way out of my price range and told the guy would need to call somebody else to get another estimate. The estimates were anywhere from the cheapest of $1500. Approx to over $3000. I was totally shocked as my unit is not that old and was told that the motherboard was not sending signals to the compressor to turn on and if they replace the motherboard, it still may not send the signal and then I would have to replace my compressor also. I called another company that was also recommended to me and a technician within 10 minutes found the problem to be a $240 capacitor, which was changed in less than a half an hour and I had air again!! I can't imagine a company trying to rip off somebody buy so much money and completely miss diagnosing, a simple problem and trying and turning it into a huge disaster! I would never recommend this company. They are completely dishonest or maybe it was just the person they sent here.

I had a million inane questions and concerns; he answered all of them. We narrowed the list to three 5-ton options. The most expensive one was of my choosing, an American Standard unit, and the other two were a Rheem and a GrandAire (which I hadn't heard of before, it's a subsidiary of Carrier). He recommended strongly that I go with the cheapest one, the GrandAire. He was absolutely correct! It saved thousands of dollars, and it works extremely well. He added a new Nest thermostat, as well. I couldn't be happier. The [minimum 2-year] warranty that he backs up his work with has to be one of the best. It looks like they serve a large area, so when I called I was told that they would be in the Richmond area on Wednesday and estimated the timeline of 11-1pm when I called Monday. The interaction was super quick and cordial. I did a search using Yelp, contacted someone I've used before and others sent me a quote. The company I used previously did not work on Samsungs. Professional Appliance Repair responded and told me to give them a call which I did. Talked to them and they were up front telling me $79 for the service call and if they find the issue and fix it they charge would go towards it. This also happened to be a rental home I manage so they asked me for the tenants number so they can work with them as far as time line. Everything was seamless, they came out to the house that morning and worked with the tenant. They found an issue with the sensors, which required that they order the part. They indicated it would take 3-4 days or so to get the part in. They got the part in the following Monday and fixed it. They accept venmo which is what I ended up paying through. Overall great experience and super responsive. I would totally use them again for the rental and my own home!
