Johnatan's bid was competitive and comprehensive, and we feel that he provided great value at reasonable cost. We specified the appliances, cabinets, countertops and fixtures ourselves. Johnatan was very helpful in providing guidance when necessary and he delivered well on our design intent. The communication with Johnatan was excellent in managing our expectations and understanding of costs. The quality of the work was excellent. We found out a couple weeks into the work that all the wiring and some of the plumbing needed to be replaced, and Johnatan brought in good subs who completed the work with minimal impact to schedule. We are very happy with the workmanship; they had great attention to detail. We had an aggressive schedule which extended due to holidays and a delay in cabinet delivery. We had to move in before construction was completed, but the crews were great about keeping us updated, and kept the apartment clean and livable. One other really great thing about the team - we were new to the building and nervous about the impact of the construction. Johnatan's foreman was wonderful about communicating with neighbors and the super and helped us get off to a great start with the building. We highly recommend Johnatan's firm. Sadly today he unclogged a tennis court drain and charged me 481.50. He charged me by the hour to regale me and my painter with stories of his father's passing when he was 5 years old, and the decent rearing his mother gave him and his sibling despite her single parent status. Then he went on about the new house he moved into after living with his mother and stories of a movie star (Chaz Palmiteri) that he installed sprinklers for, who owned a German Shepard that bit him on the buttocks and drew blood. He included a lecture about people who sue for such things but not him, no sir. Finally he told me how his uncle had trained him as a plumber and put in a plug for his previous employer Michael Palotta and his blue trucks and his father Cesar who had passed away. He also sent me on a wild goose chase suggesting my sprinkler main was broken and it was not. He continued to experiment with ideas of what might be wrong with my sprinkler long after my irrigation expert assured him over the phone that the main shut off was closed. He even called him back to ask more questions after he had been told the system was working perfectly and is monitored remotely by an app which would have shown problems. After all this blah blah he charged me by the hour. Very dishonest!!! I tried to suffer his jabbering politely as I am a physician and know some people are lonely and need to vent, but I never intended to pay for his therapy! Beware of people who think they deserve payment for wasting your time.

We hired JDM Contracting to do the job, which entailed removing 15 running feet of plaster wall on the other side of the kitchen wall, removing a portion of the laundry closet wall, replacing the drain pipes and water pipes for both the kitchen and laundry, replastering the walls, and repainting. I couldn't believe that the bedroom wall would ever look as good as it did beforehand, but it was perfect, thanks to the plasterer who was a master craftsman. Mickey Bagley was a pleasure to work with. His men were professional, highly capable, courteous, trustworthy, reliable, responsive, punctual, and as unobtrusive as you can get in this kind of space. A note on the one-star review here; my guess is the lack of follow up was due to a technology-glitch or misdirection to spam and not a reflection on Bob's level of professionalism or work ethic. A person named Bob showed up with his truck on New Year's Day to walk through our house. He was courteous and answered our questions. He spent 2 hours inspecting our house and drilled small holes in the wall to check the insulation. Afterwards, he would spackle up the hole. Bob said he would give us a quote for the work in three parts, so we could pay for parts of the work if the full job was too expensive. He said he would likely have the quote in two days and email it to us. Two days pass and there was no email. We checked our spam folder, but no email from Arctic was there. We called and left voice mail just in case the email was incorrect. Three more days pass with no email from them. We assume they don't want our business. While Bob was courteous and thorough during the inspection, the follow-up was nonexistent.
