During this time, I started working a temp position (not through AO), and stayed in touch with Sean. July 16, 2019, I got an "urgent" call from Sean. "I think I have the perfect position for you." Sean hooked me up with Ali Wadood. Apparently, Sean had been singing my praises (thank you!), and Ali wanted to present me to a position in Everett. I interviewed on the 18th. When he asked about my visa status (I'm on OPT as an international student), his demeanor completely changed. He basically told me it wasn't going to work out without offering any advice or alternatives. He didn't even ask about my goals or what I wanted to achieve--he just focused on my visa status and made me feel like I didn't belong. If it's true that Apple doesn't accept OPT, then fine, but the way this was handled was frustrating and unprofessional.

The court required that he allowed visitation and Kate moved MOUNTAINS to make it work for us last minute. My daughter felt comfortable around her and we still had a great time. My daughter's father dropped her off with NO explanation on what was going on and Kate was so gentle with her, explaining everything so she wasn't scared. As for the actual visits, there are times when Kate will just kind of sit in the background within earshot minding her own business if that's what you want (as much as she's allowed), but we also ended up having a blast with Kate included! Kate made sure pick up and drop off went off without a hitch each day, some of the rooms were small, but we didn't care. My daughter and I giggled and danced and watched movies. We even got to celebrate my daughter's birthday with cake and shopping. I highly recommend her and will absolutely use her again if I need to!

Over the course of approximately six months, communication was inconsistent and often unprofessional. There were long periods where I heard very little, followed by demands for large amounts of documentation with unrealistic turnaround times. Rather than working collaboratively to move my case forward, I often felt blamed for delays and treated with disrespect. On more than one occasion, Mr. Hyde spoke to me in a condescending and hostile manner. At one point, he told me that I and my business were "a mess." Regardless of the circumstances, I do not believe it is appropriate for an attorney to speak to a client that way. Clients hire attorneys not only for legal knowledge, but also for professional guidance during what is often one of the most stressful periods of their lives. After six months of representation, my bankruptcy was never filed. Despite paying more than $1,000 in legal fees, I was ultimately told to seek another attorney. I was also charged additional fees during the process, even though the matter remained unresolved. My disappointment is not simply that my case was not filed. It is the way I was treated throughout the representation. I expected professionalism, clear communication, and respect. Instead, I was met with unnecessary hostility, poor communication, and a lack of client care. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Tom Hyde. I encourage anyone considering his services to carefully evaluate whether his communication style and approach are the right fit for them.

I did my part and he filed and saved my house. I was able after I got my discharge to sell my house, pay off the mortgage and get rid of tons of medical bills.
