Did not wear a mask and got Covid. Gave it to the woman who watched her dog over the weekend. Then, I caught it from the dog watcher. Cindy has had Covid several time. It isn't the first time Cindy has done sketchy things. She has had the same neighbor watch her Thursday and Friday patient. While Cindy takes a 4 day weekend and still gets paid. Then doesn't pay the neighbor that isn't trained in home care for doing her job. This has happened several times. It is against the law to get paid for a job you did not do. It is called fraud. The person I had worked with originally was no longer with the firm, no surprise. I asked if there was someone who could help me with this and the receptionist said " I really don't know what to tell you, do you have someone in mind?" What I have in mind is an attorney who can help to modify my personal representative. Finally, she sent me to the "business development" person. I left a voicemail and have not heard back. I have to imagine in the case of wills/estate planning this is not an unusual scenario. Maybe not enough billable hours in the job. Who knows?

Maury was very helpful throughout the entire process. He is a polite professional who is also very knowledgeable. At every stage of escalation throughout the dispute he put the scenario in perspective, always accurately predicting how the other party would react, providing us with all the data needed to make a decision. We ended up taking the matter to court as other avenues failed to lead to resolution. Maury is not a fan of endless litigation and has a realistic perspective on what can be achieved. At the same time he shows the willingness to escalate the matter to force the other party to come to a resolution. This delicate balancing act is necessary in obtaining the best outcome given the circumstances and that is where Maury's extensive legal experience shines. The insurance company settled with us for a satisfactory amount. I strongly recommend Maury for an attorney based on our experiences. -Mahesh

I filed my own extension and made three calls to re-initiate the process and file the return. I received an email that the reason why I haven't been contacted was probably because I have changed my home address or email. It was a strange excuse since that email reached me quite fine and my home address and phone numbers have not changed at all. I never got an answer back how to proceed with the filing following the email so I engaged another wealth management firm. Not sure about the reason for this recent drop of service. Maybe they got too busy with other clients or maybe my overall wealth volume with few properties and a small business is suddenly below the client threshold of Curtis Wealth.
