They are so thorough, and detail oriented, and friendly to work with - we simply couldn't be without them now. Prior to using By the Numbers, our business books were pretty messy and even neglected in some areas. It made it difficult for our primary accountant to do her work. But now, after being involved with the great folks at By the Numbers, we are ship-shape and now saving money like we never did before. The savings in taxes and other expenses they have helped us with more than pay for the cost of the service. If you're looking for a bookkeeping/accounting service in Tacoma for your business, you can't do better than By the Numbers. Kinda hard to find in downtown Tacoma, but trust me it's worth the effort. Thanks to them for all they have done for us. Dave [PS - they do have a "lobby cat" Travis - he's at the front counter. SUPER nice - he's almost like a "cat statue" - but just in case you have a cat allergy, I felt it important to let you know]

I had no experience handling an estate, which is why I hired a professional. The taxes prepared by Pam had several errors, and her communication was poor. Even paying for her services was like pulling teeth. The best thing about this experience is that it is now over. I will not be working with Pam or TAP again.

I reached out to Curtis towards the end of last year after I was referred to him by someone I know…read more I explained to him what I needed for a non profit company I'm a volunteer for. He agreed he could do the work and we entered into an agreement mid December. He gave me a list of things he needed from us. The treasurer and I kept him updated on our progress on the things he'd asked for. By mid February we had everything ready for him that he'd requested. He said he'd get to work on our project. By mid March I reached out to him and he said that he wouldn't be able to really work on it until after tax season (end of April) ok no problem. We run fiscal year and not calendar year so that's fine. Beginning of May I reached out to him and he said he'd start working on it the following. Week. Ok. End of May I reached out again and he said he'd been swamped with the tax season but would start the following week. First week of June the treasurer reached out to him to see how things were going and we were told that he was getting started that week and everything would be completed and wrapped up by the end of of June 6/30. Well you can see what the date is and the rating. He didn't ever even start our project despite promising 6 different times he'd start working on it next week. The 6th time I told him no I was terminating our agreement and we'd be going another direction. I can't honestly speak for how he does as a cpa seeing as he didn't do the things he promised. Save yourself the headache and money and just look elsewhere.
