The Room was well lit and properly staffed and the Security Guard was fully in his role as the first point of contact being assertively welcoming, inviting, and showing us how to proceed using the smart and efficient high tech systems. The waiting area was clean, comfortable, and spacious and there were large screens keeping everyone updated with their place in line and which window to go to. The lady who helped my Mom was very professional and organized! She helped us update Mom's direct deposit info as requested and reassured is the reissued checks were on the way. We recieved the direct deposit yesterday and are so grateful for the staff for making the process very easy and pleasant! The security guard turned around and proactively asked the guy sitting next to us to see if he needed help. Before us, he was patiently asking a question from another African American lady. Wth! He really makes me think that they are doing racial profiling. Part ii, after waiting for one hour, we left the office. I called the SSA number and was told that the wait time was going to be 120 plus minutes. Since I only have today off. I searched around and found a place to upload docs. Meanwhile, I am still waiting for a call back from SSA.

I told him needed to used the restroom and just heard my number called rush back. Just need to know if I have to wait for another hour or 2 since full house already. I need to know. He went to check for me Thank God I asked, cause he informed Ms Barrios. She called me in and ask what I was therefore. She was so nice,helpful & very professional. She answers all my question & some things she was not sure she approach another colleague who specialized on that program. And got answers to them. Highly RESPECT her doing so. I was BLESS to have met these two. Employees. Mr. Zamora & Ms.Barrios had care and Compassion in what they do compare to some Agents, didn't care at all. But who knows. Received a QR code ticket by 9am at number 95! Didn't think there were 94 ppl ahead of us. But it was a live line online so you can always see your status. Was able to leave and run errands etc. Didn't get called til 4pm! (They close at 5pm). Only 3 workers there. The one we saw was VERY nice and SUPER HELPFUL. Spoke to him for about 5 min but our issue was resolved and payment was received 2 days later.

Not sure if that is the norm. I do have to say, the person who assisted us and the security were very helpful and very nice. The experience was surprisingly pleasant. The office is very outdated compared to the one in Fontana. But in reality that doesn't matter it's the service that makes the difference.

I wish I had a cooler story behind why I checked-in on Yelp to my local police department and why I'm now eligible to write a review, but I don't. After an unfortunate situation with a Door Dasher when I was recently out of town, I was advised to submit a police report to document a giftcard that I was owed by the "Dasher." This was the first time I've ever stepped foot inside any police department and was excited to finally learn where my local department was even situated. Unfortunately for me it's on the complete opposite of town from where I live and hope I never have to call them for an emergency. This station is nicely maintained and has great staff willing to answer any questions you may have. I wish I had caught the dispatcher's name as she was extremely helpful in directing me what to do. Unfortunately I had to wait almost an hour and a half before an officer could meet with me for 5 minutes to just put an incident number on his business card and send me on my way. I wish I could sit in this station and people watch all day in the lobby because I saw some interesting situations come through during my wait time. But I also don't wish I ever have a reason to come here to do so! Thank you to the Upland PD for what you do to keep this city safe!
