Sure enough, Claude and his son came over and got me in working order. They were prompt, talked me through what was going on, and have a good warranty on the product. Rudd's tech "Hayden"did a great job with this industrial size water heater. Most recently I contacted Rudd for an estimate on replacing the HVAC duct work in my crawl space. Well little did I know the main Sewage drain had been leaking. My Rudd tech "Steven Ross" was quick with a quote and they replaced my entire drainage system and got it up to code. Steven was very professional and worked extremely hard for two days getting me back on line with our water line. Steven is a very knowledgeable and personable employee. I made an appointment for someone to come out and service my two HVAC units on 14 July 2026. It…read morerained severely that morning and the appointment came and went. I called assuming the rain had delayed my service tech from being on time I requested a different day and was rescheduled for 17 July, both appointments were for 8am to 12pm. On the 17th which was a nice day that appointment came and went as well. I called very disappointed not having any reason that the technician didn't arrive during the designated reserved time frame. I called the following Monday, 20 July to speak with a supervisor, instead of writing a poor company review. They said they would pass on a message for the service supervisor Dan to call, of course that call never came. If an HAVC company doesn't call or text me to explain why there is a delay in coming out and not show up, and no follow-up from a supervisor. I certainly wouldn't rely on them for servicing!

After numerous years of solid service and communication, I had an experience with Hero that…read morenecessitated that I find an alternative HVAC company. In brief, a tech diagnosed a system issue, recommended replacement, and a quote was provided ($14-$18k for a new system). I brought in another vendor for a quote and they indicated that I did NOT need a new system at this time and the issue may be related to a leak in the lines (that can't easily be detected). Alternatively, the other vendor suggested a chemical be injected into the lines which acts a sealant. I then contacted Hero professionally asking them to contact me to discuss this alternative and to hear their thoughts around why a new system is the right decision; they did NOT reply back to 2 messages over a 10 day period. After I called and left a voice message, the manager did professionally call and apologize for the lack of responsiveness. Punchline - At a cost of $300, 3 months later, my system is still running flawlessly...there is more life in the system.
