In an industry dominated by big-box names and corporations or cheapskate, God-only-knows-when-they'll-show-up workers, finding Comfort Solutions is a terrific blessing. They were responsive via their website, phone, and text quickly. The office staff (Ms. Amanda, I believe) was courteous. She explained my options to me and let me pick what was best. The tech, David, showed up in the window and did good work. He educated me as he worked, including telling me several steps I could do myself to save money and time. He was very personal and professional both. It may not be a big deal to all, but they have both their mission statement and their vision statement on their brochure, which means a lot to me: "We are dedicated to being well known in our community for providing the highest quality of HVAC services the industry has to offer. It took me a bit to respond to him, given the chaotic household on a Saturday evening but I was made aware that there is an emergency service fee and the repair charges to fix! Rohan was on his way around 7pm! Rohan has a good demeanor and very personable. He got to work immediately and diagnosed the problem (capacitor). Within 20 mins I had my HVAC working again. He gave him quite a few pieces of relevant information about my HVAC and even cleaned the coils outside to make sure everything was tip top! The total charge was reasonable - please don't compare these with DIY costs as HVACs need some level of knowledge and expertise. They accept all forms of payment but Venmo/Zelle make it super easy to pay for the services. Highly recommended. They also offer maintenance, which is top on my list prior to me turning my heat on.

Best HVAC experience we've had in 30 years…read more Our upstairs unit stopped cooling and we called another local HVAC company out to look at it. Took their tech just 10 minutes to tell us we were low on freon due to a bad coil and we were looking at $3500 to replace. Guy never used a leak detector he just knew the leak was in the coil. I wanted a 2nd opinion before spending that kind of money so I called J&R based on their 5 star Yelp rating and the things people were saying in their reviews. Joe showed up, immediately took the unit apart, and spent over an hour using a leak detector to try to locate the coolant leak. Couldn't find a leak. He ended up leaving the system pressurized with nitrogen over a weekend only to come back on Monday and find no pressure loss. No leak - no bad coil. The issue was the other guys (who've serviced our units for 2 yrs) had left the valve caps loose on the exterior unit. Joe's diligence and honesty saved us a lot of money and earned him a customer for life. Its really rare nowadays to find someone with this kind of ethics. Joe's a likeable guy, explains what he's doing and why, and isn't out there trying to run up the tab on the repair. You sometimes hear companies saying they'll treat you like family. Joe never said that and its not on their website or their marketing material but that's definitely how I felt I was treated - like family.

We had a problem with excessive water leaking from air conditioning and they came out and fixed it perfecting. They also installed a Resideo (formerly Honeywell) smart thermostat and it works perfectly. If you are going to start with them, I recommend that you ask for Bruce as your technician. His professional skill sets plus his amazing intuition make him a perfect diagnostician and problem-solver.
