So it's still running strong!......that is until the day after closing on the house the AC wasn't working. My wife called McGee to come look at it since their the ones that came to "service" the unit. Awesome! They we're gonna send a guy out that day (Friday) and he'd call when he's on the way. Well real quick, my wife's been workin nights so she's sleeping during the day. So she's sound asleep expecting a call that the guy is on the way. Nope. She gets woken up to a truck starting up and LEAVING the house. Wtf?? So she called the guy and he said the compressor was too hot for him to do anything so he turned it off and would be back later when it cooled down, cool understandable. Well the guy never came back....never called back...nothing. Now i'm sure some of yall can agree that bein in the South when it starts gettin warmer out for Spring, AC is a pretty damn good thing to have especially after comin home from a long day of workin outside in construction. Well i've been without AC for goin on 2 WEEKS now. My wife and even her mother tried calling these folks MULTIPLE times today....but alas no answer at all. Long story short, HORRIBLE and I mean HORRIBLE customer service, HORRIBLE professionalism, and HUGE LACK of communication. Guess when it comes to warranty work, it ain't that important to them. McGee Heating & Air installed the heating / air system when our house was built in 2003. Mr. McGee…read morewas always reliable and fair-priced whenever I had an air conditioner problem. He unfortunately passed away a couple years ago. I wasn't sure what to expect when my air stopped cooling efficiently a couple days ago. Michael, the new owner (apparently related to Mr. McGee by marriage) was just as reliable and fair-priced as Mr. McGee had been. I needed 4 pounds of coolant, he had to blow out the drain pipes, and the thermostat needed to be replaced. The entire bill was under $400.00. I am so sorry Mr. McGee passed away, but I am happy his business continues to live up to the reputation he built.
