Gave me replacement options to think about 12-24 months down the road. Didn't try to sell me on anything today since there is still some life left in my unit. I had a flat rate agreement on the phone with Air Advisor to change out a condenser motor, that I was providing, but when Rusty and Taylor arrived at my house, Rusty looked around and decided that he now need to charge me a Trip Fee. Squeezing a client for more money after you've already agreed to a price is just wrong. My first thought was to send them packing but because I need my A/C fixed before the holiday weekend, I paid the added gouging fee. If you decide to hire this company be sure to get your quoted price in writing before they get on site and watch out for Rusty's unexpected added fees once he gets on site. This is the second time that I have used this company for HVAC service and found them through Home Advisor. My Ecobee Thermostat went out early this morning. I contacted Air Advisor at 10:30 and the technician came out right away. He was helpful and made sure the issue was completely fixed. Had a leakage in my hvac and they came to the rescue. They were able to identify the problem immediately and got it fixed. Other people may have struggled or suggested replacement parts which can get expensive. So I'm glad I chose air advisor. read more

On May 12, I had AIR ADVISOR come out to service my A/C for the season. To my disappointment I was told the E N T I R E unit inside and out had to be replaced. The compressor was out. And because my outside unit wasn't made anymore and anything new would not be compatible with the unit in the attic. It was too old. (The replacement cost was $9,800 +tax.) In the interim, I purchased window units. I then proceeded to look up the model of my outside unit to see if it was a possibility to purchase one. AndI found it!. I found a BRAND new e x a c t model even. But AIR ADVISOR said they weren't manufactured anymore. ?????hmm. I called CODY AND SONS as they sold the new outside units and was informed they do free estimates I scheduled an appointment and on that July 6th, I spoke with the tech and explained the fan runs but it isn't getting cold. That I would like the unit serviced for the season. A second opinion just to make sure. Shortly thereafter, he let me know there was an electrical part that needed replacing and 3lbs of Freon. And just like that, my A/C is running. That is a savings of $9,550. I am grateful for my inquisitive mind working and seeking a second opinion. I called to inform AIR ADVISOR of the situation and the reply was maybe they were having a bad day. I said would you accept that if a surgeon came out from working in your child. What if I had paid the 10k???? 10k! And it was only $330. I am sooo NOT happy with this experience. And I warn to be aware if you proceed with their service or recommendations. read more

We had Air Advisor replace our cooling cool about three months ago - great service from a fine group of professionals. Unbeknownst to us (and I'm sure them), they forgot to turn the gas to the furnace back on after the fix. When we tried to turn on the heat recently, the furnace would of course not fire. Thinking we had yet another problem with our 10 year old unit, we again called Air Advisor to fix the problem. We were braced for bad news but Rusty, who came out within hours of our call, went into the attic and found the gas turned off. While he was up there, he replaced the filter as long as he was there - all at no charge! Less scrupulous companies could have easily taken advantage of this situation by saying something was broken and then charging us a bunch. We wouldn't have been any the wiser. But not Air Advisor - their professionalism and honesty came through for us. We will continue to use Air Advisor for ALL of our HVAC needs - we trust them! read more

Air Advisor came out, analyzed the situation and suggested appropriate AC repairs. Repaired a small unit and replaced a larger outside unit at a very good price.
