I made the reservation but got a call the next day stating they did not take reservations and that we needed to fill out a credit application. Our application was denied and I put in a call to the credit department to find out what alternatives we might have (co-signer, pay all monies up front) and never heard back. These people wasted my time and didn't even have the courtesy to return a call. Subsequently, I found a normal rental place that rented the same equipment without any problem or credit check-so good riddance to H-E rental. The reason I am writing this review is because Titan/Tim went above and beyond. 1) I had to delay the date a couple of days before my rental, no problem. 2) The delivery driver was right on time for drop-off and pick-up and gave me status updates when he was leaving the yard and 20 minutes away. 3) I rented the Case 580N EP and it was newer, clean and strong. 4) Their price was comparable to everyone else for both rental and delivery, and all charges were given to me in advanced (some places don't tell you in advance all the charges).

They do not have the field service capabilities needed to support contractors. Titan Machinery has a large inventory BUT it is never available where and when it's needed. Titan Machinery is a publicly held company which is a disadvantage compared to all the other local Dealers who are locally owned and operated. Titan is more concerned about keeping stockholders happy rather than customers. Case manufactures quality equipment but because of the size of Titan machinery the relationship between manufacturer and dealer is not healthy. Case has too much influence at the local level. The Case representative is de facto running the local dealership. Traditionally manufacturing and retailing are two very different businesses.

Tons of good tips! The core drill took about 30 min to cut through 9.5" of masonry (cinderblock over brick) and left a super clean hole. I returned it with no problems or additional fees. And I've worked in this industry in 5 different states. The owners are very cool and easy to work with. If they don't have it ... they'll get it and stock it for you.
