My son had an appointment for today 1/18/2021. I believe he made the appointment in late October…read more He died 12/15/2020 "waiting to be seen". New patients should be given Emergancy priority. They need immediate help. He was referred to this practice by another doctor who could not see him because he was not a drug user. When I called this morning to let the office know he would not be at his appointment because he died the assistant was rude, snippy and said I'll make that note. No sorry for your loss.

Dr. Menninger has been my psychiatrist since August of last year, when my previous doctor closed…read moreher practice. I've been very pleased with the care I've gotten from Dr. Menninger, especially in managing my medication. He was extremely helpful and concerned when I developed tardive dyskinesia (TD) from Abilify, which had been prescribed by my former doctor. It turned out I had been taking it at a high dose for quite a long time, and Dr. Menninger thought I should discontinue it. When I did, the TD symptoms showed up (involuntary mouth and facial movements that were obvious and annoying). He's been very good about working with me and my neurologist in coordinating care as I've been treated for the TD symptoms. Dr. Menninger is cautious and conservative when it comes to medication, which I very much appreciate after my experience with Abilify. I see him regularly, although only every few months, to check in on how things are going with my medications. These are short appointments and somehow there's no co-payment for them with my medical plan, so I certainly like that! During appointments Dr. Menninger takes his notes on his computer as he goes along. It seemed odd, at first, as I wasn't used to that, but now I don't notice it, and being "connected" Dr. Menninger can rapidly find and print out studies and articles on various issues for you while you're sitting in his office, which is very handy. All in all, definitely recommended!

The therapists are nice enough in the KC,MO area. I just experienced my last straw today…read more I have been a patient since mid Jan. of 2025. A. They weren't supposed to take out that 300$ today it's supposed to be done on the 1st of the month. I have called them about this once already in March of 2025. B. When I go to the portal (the Tebra portal) is absolutely no payment history. Nor is there a way to remove my card on file. At least *it says* my due balance is $0.00. I will have to see if I get mysterious charges that occur next month if they try to bill me again. B. I tried calling and I almost always get voicemail of Emily. It doesn't matter when I call. They call back when they are able to I guess. (Yes, the 816-221-0305 phone number) C. This morning, I transferred money from one account to another to pay bills. I guess I was lucky, If I wouldn't have done that I would have over drafted due to them charging my card without notice. D. That money was supposed to be for upcoming bills THIS month, that I was planning to pay tomorrow. So now, I need to go BACK to bank and transfer more money between accounts. (see reason A) Just this month I have paid them about 625 in bills (300 was DBT final payment) but ALL were done without prior warning. P.S. They REQUIRE a card on file to automatically bill :) All in all, I have no one to blame but myself for agreeing to the terms and conditions. I am discontinuing being a patient there due to ridiculous billing practices. Thank you for your time.

My mental health finally got better when I was no longer a patient. I was an adolescent patient…read morehere for a year (IOP then group & individual) and this place DRAINED ME. Honestly, DBT is a scam and borderline a cult. It's supposed to be "dialectical" but they only see things one way; their way. The therapist are so hypocritical and just not good at their jobs. I spent all week dreading therapy and group and what I would talk about. What was I supposed to talk about at these sessions when the only thing that tanked my quality of life was those very sessions?! I finally turned 18 and left (2yrs ago) and my mental health has never been better! Every day better than the last! The IOP was decent and especially if you have BPD (the disorder dbt was designed for even thought they will LIE and say it's for everyone) I'd recommend but definitely stay away from long term treatment here! Do your few weeks and jump ship asap!
