Some clubs will look at you sideways if you ask about some move you saw on YouTube but not Patrick; he'll want to disect it and give it a try with the you. I've seen him wear both tailored Japanese kimono and Amazon special sub $50 discounted gi and looked equally comfortable in both. I don't feel bad wearing cheap equipment with him and I don't feel bad spoiling myself wearing something that is probably beyond my pay-grade. He's an amazing practitioner of both Judo and Jujitsu and I'm glad I've gotten to spend time on the mat with him.
