Got a Groupon as a gift and then read some reviews and got exactly what others experienced. The ladies spoke Chinese and called their boss who sent a picture saying "the internet shows it's expired". My nervous system was so stimulated that when she finished and left the room, I started shaking and CRYING. She left the door open the whole time and was going in and out. I could hear other employees and other customers talking as if they were right next to me. The light was also on in the hallway and spilled into the room. What kind of place leaves the door open?! The massage itself was fantastic! I felt so calm and relaxed with a male masseuse. However, you could hear the customer next door talking. You can't do much with a loud customer, but maybe turn up the music and dim the lights for a more calm atmosphere, or offer ear plugs. The walls were paper thin and I could hear another client continuously moaning through the entire duration of my couples massage. Upon leaving a cash gratuity was offered and they declined not before trying to force my partner or I to wait in the waiting area and then following us to the car. They acted like vultures looking for there next pray and even tried to force us to give over a credit card for a larger tip because the tip offered wasn't good enough in there eyes. I did just that, and they told us to arrive 5 min prior to 5 pm for our appointment yesterday evening. We get there, and they don't acknowledge us. After waiting 15 minutes, I ask what was going on. They told us to come back another time. We were furious because not only did we plan our afternoon around it, but they gave us an appointment and did not provide ANY services! Great place!. clean and quite. I have been to loads of these in the Denver area. Many after a few visit cheat you on time or just don't do as good of a job. These folks have been spot on each and every time. I recommend getting a package but no need to opt for the oil up grade unless thats a must for you. One small thing, I called ahead to have the person from before do my massage and was told "yes yes you come in" I got there and found out he was not in. There was a bit of a language barrier that concerned me at first, but LiVia seemed to be very tuned in to energy, and continued working areas where I knew I had energetic blockages. (aside from muscle knots that she easily identified and released) It felt as though the Reiki in me connected with her gift, and there was an unspoken communication taking place that was really cool to experience. It was an hour massage that lasted closer to 75 min, for 50.00. Not a fancy building, but very clean and comfortable. I walked out knowing that I had just experienced something special. First off, let me tell you that if you visit them during COVID (or any time), beware that they obviously don't change the sheets after each client. Take a sheet or consider yourself contaminated after visiting there. I bought a 45min massage, but after 20 min she told me I have to leave as they have another client who booked at 2 pm and instead next time they will give me more massage! Even during that 20 min, she kept leaving room several times, and when she was there actually massaging, it was mostly just rubbing oil on my back, not a good massage. Besides, no one there speaks a word of English (the receptionist barely speaks a few words to just greet you), so you are mostly unable to communicate any special requests or customization to them. Also, none of them is certified or has been professionally trained. The receptionist had a bad attitude too. I do not recommend this place at all. However, it was sloppy and really bad. After the massage, I tipped the worker $6 and she pointed me to a sign that said "minimum tip 20%". I said "no it wasn't good" and she tried to MAKE me give her 20%. This was the weirdest experience I've ever had. To start it was hard to communicate with the people there. My husband and I went to get a couples massage, and will never go there again. The 2 people we got to do our massages didn't have any technique. My masseuse kept leaving the room to attend other clients. She would leave the door open, meanwhile I was completely undressed. She also applied the rocks really hot. I'm left with bruises and burnt marks. We paid prior to getting our massage, and once we were leaving all of the workers there surrounded the cashier counter, and one worker stood by the door. They were asking us to tip $40 each. I've never had this happened before, I'm really generous with my tips but they definitely didn't deserve it. I proceed to give her my card, and i quickly turned my card off to pretend there was something wrong with my card. I ask for the workers name and they told me it wasn't important. So I told her it wasn't important for me to tip then. She had the audacity to take a picture of my card with her phone, and yelled at me to hand her another card. I told her I would go to the bank and I proceed to walk away. One of the workers proceed to follow me, she said she would go with me to the bank. At the point i lost it, i told her to step away and leave us alone. She then left, but she left to get the rest of the workers. Overall, I can not say enough great things about Ai Cottage. The first service I had was a chair massage for $20 and the second was an hour-long reflexology service for $30. The prices are so inexpensive and they always go above and beyond on their services. The rooms were clean and it was such a relaxing experience. They turn down the lights and play calming music background, I almost fell asleep! Truthfully, after discovering this place, I will not be wasting my money on expensive spas anymore. My first time here, I had a nice massage from Livia. My second massage I had another woman who was very strong but kept pushing hard on my spine, leaving me bruised on my spinal column. I tried to tell her and Livia (after massage) to push on the muscles, not the spine, but they did not understand me.
