I'll start off by saying that I come here every week. It's my most frequented restaurant of them all. The place had a sprucing up a while back so after taking a hiatus for a few years, it was a pleasant surprise walking in. I'm glad they are more open now consistently. Mostly a healthy smoothie place which now serves sandwiches during lunch. My husband likes to get the Jus grind (peanut butter, banana, cashew, oat, tiger bone, baji chew). I've gotten the Mango Madness (mango slices, pineapple, mango juice) and Jus juice special (strawberry, pineapple, banana, guava juice). The smoothies are pretty good, but not too watery. So this place has the strongest roots tonic I've had. Full of flavor and between that and my morning tonic (#blackroottonic) I'm on a healthy high for more than half of the day. Jus Juice has burgers and a selection of juice blends that are made-to-order, but you can make your own or do substitutes (juice bar tip: if you are going to do substitutes, make it one ingredient max. They give a taster (pic included) of your smoothie or the one being made The man has a very welcoming and pleasant vibe and it is a great black-owned business to support. I want to love this place. I want to support black owned. I want to support Caribbean owned. I want to support my community. Yet, everytime I come in here, I wait no less than 20 minutes for a SALAD. Not a salad with a protein, but a salad with raw ingredients. Despite knowing this, I decided to give it another chance. We walked in, there was one person in the establishment who was still deciding. We placed our order for a veggie burger and a salad. During that time, several other customers walked in and ordered juices, smoothies, and patties. Instead of taking care of customers in the order in which they ordered, he took care of everyone else. When we asked why we had to wait, he said the food has to cook. My boyfriend said why didn't you cook it while you were preparing everything else. I also pointed out we've been waiting 15 minutes which he said he didn't believe and my time was wrong. There was only one person working. I want to feel some companion, and I would of, if we were handled in the order in which we ordered. I'm a bit scared to eat our food since we voiced our concerns and the gentleman working seems agitated that we had the audacity to point out that we were first but are now the last people waiting. We could've been offered something while we waited, even an apology. Nothing was offered and our questioning on why we were tended to last was ignored. This neighborhood is slowly facing gentrification. While I'm not for it, I hope my fellow Caribbean folks will realize that this relaxed, read "slow" service will not be tolerated. I like the concept of healthier eating, yet it's still is so simple. The smoothies , you can blend in your own blender , it's a bit over rated and overpriced. Also, the smoothies can be very sweet, they add condensed milk or honey, which are both not vegan..alongside with a fruit juice out of a box.. then they add in a cup full of fresh fruit and ice? The first time I had their juice I was convinced that I ordered the wrong thing. The mix just didn't taste right but then I figured it's healthy it's not supposed to taste right... Right??? Well not exactly... I drink lots of green juice, red juice, veggie juice and whatever other type of juice. I've gone to many places and it just taste cleaner than it does here. The last time I was here I watched them make my juice and my boyfriends juice without cleaning the juicer or the pitcher they used to catch both juices in. Mind you I had a green veggie blend and he had beets they absolutely should used another pitcher to avoid cross contamination And to avoid my juice tasting like other than what was ordered. I came here one afternoon heading home from the gym. I was really craving fresh juice and this place certainly satisfied my craving! I got the cold buster (orange, grapefruit, pineapple, line, ginger) and my friend got the all berry smoothie (strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, cranberry juice). My juice was the perfect blend of sweet, tart, with a nice Zing from the added ginger. My friends smoothie was very fruity and flavorful with a deliciously smooth texture. Despite the title, this place also serves delicious looking sandwiches including a salmon sandwich. Another customer was eating it when I visited and it looked and smelled delicious. This is my 3rd visit to this local Juice shop. Each time I've patronized this location I've left feeling the same way.....like my business isn't appreciated. It's a small location and I've never been there when there has been more than one other person. Yet and still, I've never been told hello or greeted with a smile. If anything I feel like I'm annoying the young woman who works there. In no way am I say she's mean or rude, just not welcoming. I'm sure many see no problem with that but in my opinion when you have a small business that competes with big giant chain stores you should be giving those customers something they don't get at the chains, especially when you can't compete with the selection or esthetics. Additionally, I ordered a Sweet Green Juice which is made with green fruits & vegetables (for the most part) and yet mine was made with red delicious apples instead of Granny Smith apples and that changes the taste immensely. Needless to say, I didn't care for the taste and I feel like I should have been given a choice prior to nKing the drink if they are out of green apples. I feel badly that I am only giving one star, but my experience was not a great one. I got a smoothie and that was very good, but they gave me the wrong order for my sandwich (I was really looking forward to it as well). I ordered a veggie burger because all the girls in my office said they were delicious, I bit into the burger and knew right away that my day was ruined, they gave me a tilapia burger and I am allergic to fish. The rest of my day was very bad.... What made me so upset is that I told the guy I ordered from that I was allergic to fish, but he wasn't the one that filled my order. I won't be back. read more

OMG! So I visited this restaurant on 03/21/2019 looking for a fish sandwich but got a little more than bargained for. The people in the establishment was cold and their friends were worst, a man about his mid 30's came in he's said his what's up to the guy behind the counter and rub the kids head sitting in the chair but what he did next was out right disgusting he walked over to where I was standing, where a gentleman was sitting pulled out a GUN and asked him " do you have something for this, I need an extender" Then went into his jailbird talk. I was mortified that the people working there and the kid sitting there treated it like it was normal.
