Hello beautiful foodies of the OC. Couldn't decide on what might be good on a hot day. And I found this little gem tucked away on Beach boulevard called , Ahi Pokie . I was truly surprised to find the offerings to be so extremely fresh and appealing. Every single item even the marinated tuna, for the octopus we're so extremely fresh and tasty. You are allowed to taste it. Andrew , serve me. And I found his service to be more than compassionate, kind, eager to assist! These qualities are rare in someone serving food so very very fresh and delightfully appealing. Upon tasting the food I am so surprised that it is truly some of the best Poke, in the Orange county area. If you're out and about, if you're on your way to the beach, if your wife is giving you a hard time, get over here get your Mac on. Stop playing around. Stopped by around 6 PM on a Sunday and there was no line. There's a large parking lot with plenty of open spaces, so parking was easy. Ambiance was chill and relaxed. Service was attentive throughout the visit. They offer several premade bowls, but you can also build your own, which I did. There were plenty of flavors and sauces to choose from, and the descriptions next to each option made it easy to figure out what everything was without having to ask. The selection isn't the largest I've seen at a poke spot, but there were still enough options to put together a bowl without feeling limited. The portions were also generous, with a good amount of both protein and toppings. I ordered tuna and salmon, and both tasted fresh. The only thing of note was the rice, which was a little too moist and tended to clump together. It didn't ruin the bowl, but a slightly firmer texture would have been better. Overall, it's a solid poke spot with fresh fish and good portions. The straightforward menu and helpful descriptions also make it easy to order if you're trying it for the first time. Good portions and packaging for Togo. Was in a poke mood and have driven by so many times, so it was time. Got it via DoorDash, so can't speak to service, but the way they package the to go order was nice (kept poke on ice, rice was warm and separate from salad). Portions were great. Fish options were good (besides missing scallops), and would have loved a little more options in toppings and such, but what I got was good. Would order again. read more

Overall, this is a convenient place to get poke with lots of parking and the ingredients are usually fresh. Lots of seating inside too. I wanted some poki and found this place nearby. It's clean and their pokis have sauce on them which I liked. I got the spicy salmon and lava tuna on salad! You can pick 2 sauces and then toppings. They will curate a big beautiful bowl of poke for you unlike the other main manager who routinely skimps out on toppings and give you half scoops. At $16 for a bowl with taxes this ain't cheap. Used to be one of my favorite poke spots because they were always generous with the portions. Unfortunately, that's no longer the case. My bowl wasn't even filled properly, and the scoops weren't filled enough. On top of that, the staff was very unfriendly and made the experience unpleasant. Great customer service goes a long way--if you don't enjoy serving customers, it shows. I hope management addresses both the declining portions and the attitude of the staff because this place used to be much better. read more

I've been going here religiously for 2 years and it USED TO be the best, but it has gone downhill. The new staff clearly lacks basic food safety and prep training. Scooping piping hot rice straight under raw fish creates a steam trap in the container that par-cooks the fish and immediately pushes raw seafood right into the bacterial temperature danger zone. By the time you open it, the fish is warm, gray, and a legitimate food poisoning risk. Management needs to retrain the crew on proper holding and cooling procedures immediately. read more

This spot also offers kimchi, which I personally love and have not seen at other poke places. It was a bit too sour for my taste, but still a nice addition. The portions were generous and the flavor was great overall. What made this place stand out even more is that they were actually open during the Fourth of July. A lot of poke places showed as open online, but my boyfriend and I drove to several spots nearby HB only to find them closed. We ended up wasting time, lost our parking spot at Huntington Beach, and even missed the fireworks. The poke bowls (customized) I've gotten have been good and fresh. Lots of variety of toppings. The portions are completely hit or miss, though. Sometimes they give you a decent amount and sometimes they give you a totally skimpy amount. I keep track of the weights of how much they give you, and there has been as much as a 30% difference in weight when I get the exact same thing. Would have given 3.5 stars, but rounded up. If you want a place which consistently gives you a great amount and is always fresh (my holy grail!) go to Poke Tiki in Costa Mesa (on Harbor Blvd). read more

My quest for the best bowl of poke in OC brought me far and wide, and yet I'm consistently disappointed by the chains and slop that tastes processed and manufactured. I'm being so serious when I say Ahipoki is always fresh and delicious and clears the competition. Rollrito? Garbage. Poki Poki? Put in the trough for pigs. Poke Haus? The environment is always clean, and they're well-stocked with utensils and other essentials. But I also want to shout out the employees after seeing a little incident tonight -- I've always had great service here, and I just want to say you guys are doing a great job. Very impressed. We normally go to 2nd St for our Poké, but this place is right across the street so we thought we'd give it a try and so happy we did. First thing we noticed is that the prices were great, about $2 cheaper than we are used to. Second thing we noticed, way more fish options including some creative, multi-ingredient recipes like "Tuna Luau" and "Kimchi Shrimp" along with the typical raw tuna, yellowtail, octopus and salmon. Third thing, big sizes. Fourth thing, way more topping options like garlic and pineapple. Last thing, lots more sauce options (like 8). Got the 3 scoop bowl, which ended up being this huge plate, with 1/2 brown rice and 1/2 spring mix. Got the Kimchi Shrimp, tuna, and octopus, spicy mayo, and eel sauce at the end. 10 out of 10! So many textures and flavors as I kept working my way through the massive bowl. My wife and I kept making audible "mmmmmmm" sounds the whole time we were eating it. Ahipoki in Huntington Beach is located on Beach Boulevard adjacent to a few shops. They do have some free parking and a small lot shared among the other businesses for patrons to utilize. This location has several tables for customers to eat their food. Ordering is straightforward and the process for building your poke bowl at the store is similar to most poke spots in the area. Staff were patient with questions and were very efficient with helping costumers in a timely manner. We came on a weekday for lunch and they had several customers come in and out of the shop as we were there. My husband and I both had three scoop bowls with salad. I tried the Tuna Luau, Blazing Salmon, and Sweet Glazed Salmon. All three were fantastic, but my favorite out of the three was the Tuna Luau. Portions were appropriate to the bowl size. The price definitely justified the product. We had a great first visit to the Ahipoki in Huntington Beach and would definitely return when in the area again. read more

Ahipoki opened up recently and it is quickly becoming one of my favorite poke places. I like that Ahipoki has a Hawaiian twist to it compared to your standard poke spots in OC. They also have toppings and meats that other places do not have. For instance, they have brown rice and even kelp noodles as a base. I got a half salad and half brown rice as my base. Their brown rice is great. I got it with a bunch of different meats. One that was a little different than other poke places was they offer a kimchi shrimp which was pretty good. I also tried their House Sauce which was a nice shoyu base. Besides their poke, I also got two of their spam musubi. They were good. For large portion of poke and 2 musubi, I only paid $16. I thought pricing here was pretty good. Picking up was quick and easy. The inside of this place was very clean and there was seating inside if you prefer to eat there.
