    Chicken and Shrimp combo bowl.

The Chicken and Shrimp combo bowl is a winner! Great post workout meal. With brown rice, crab, avocado, pineapple

Ahipoki is a contemporary poke joint that puts a twist on the authenticity of Hawaiian poke. We ordered build-your-own poke bowls, and each protein was naturally fresh. The other sides such as mixed greens, imitation crab, and cucumbers added a boosted scent of freshness and lightness, complementing the heavy sauces. Some toppings such as their kimchi and seaweed salad threw the comprehensive flavor of the poke bowl off. Ahipoki's contemporary approach to poke bowls may spur an inauthentic remark to poke lovers.

If it is the Fourth of July and you are at Huntington Beach scrambling to find a healthy food option for lunch or dinner, or just looking for a reliable poke spot, this is the place you can count on. The store is simple, spacious, and clean, and the staff are very kind and patient. They even let us sample the proteins before choosing, which honestly surprised me because I did not know that was even an option. This spot also offers kimchi, which I personally love and have not seen at other poke places. It was a bit too sour for my taste, but still a nice addition. The portions were generous and the flavor was great overall. What made this place stand out even more is that they were actually open during the Fourth of July. A lot of poke places showed as open online, but my boyfriend and I drove to several spots nearby HB only to find them closed. We ended up wasting time, lost our parking spot at Huntington Beach, and even missed the fireworks. So if you are at the beach on the Fourth of July and need something healthy to eat, especially if you did not bring any food, this is a great spot to stop by.

Best poke bowls in HB imo because of the quality fish, variety of sauces and toppings, and value for the price. Jessica is a fantastic server: friendly, thorough, and does a great job all around to ensure guests get exactly what they want. While the seating is limited, we've always been able to sit down and eat when we come. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for really good poke.

    best poke ever!!!!

The sushi was fresh, and the poke bowl was absolutely delicious. I enjoyed every bite, especially with the wide variety of toppings available. It was a little bland, but that was on me, I asked for light sauce because other poke places tend to go overboard. They are VERY generous with their scoops. I also love that they have tuna and avocado as a protein option, so avocado lovers like me don't have to pay extra!

cute cat doesn't come with the poke bowl unfortunately

I've been coming to this poke spot for a while now, and it's one of the fews that I enjoy in OC. While it's not traditional Hawaiian poke, the ingredients are always fresh and packed with flavor. I really appreciate their unique twist, incorporating Korean ingredients--it's a refreshing change when I'm craving something a little different. One thing that stands out to me is their spicy mayo; it has way more depth and flavor compared to other places, which I love! If you're unsure about sauce combos, I recommend mixing the house sauce with spicy mayo or going for ponzu + spicy mayo if you want a citrusy kick. Definitely ask for light sauce since they can be a little heavy handed, and ask for some on the side to add if it isn't enough! Price-wise, I think it's fair. I overheard a customer complaining about the cost and inconsistency, but honestly, poke isn't cheap anywhere, and their pricing has been pretty standard given the economy. The environment is always clean, and they're well-stocked with utensils and other essentials. But I also want to shout out the employees after seeing a little incident tonight -- I've always had great service here, and I just want to say you guys are doing a great job. Don't let entitled customers get to you -- pricing isn't in your control, and some people just need to learn how to read. All in all, solid poke spot with fresh ingredients, great flavors, and good service. Definitely worth a visit :)

Fresh fish usually but too bland sometimes. The employees are great. Great manners. Prices are low. I'm coming back.

The chicken bone in thighs are HUGEEE, a 2 pc plate is definitely a sufficient portion. The fried chicken is some of the best, juicy inside and super flaky and crispy outside. The spicy garlic sauce is perfectly sticky and has great flavor. The mac salad is creamy and includes potato. I'd rate the CPC plate 6/5 - DA BOMB! We also got a spam musubi, which was delicious, good spam to rice ratio and yummy sweet sauce. 5/5 musubi. I also tried their DHK bowl which is a huge bowl including poke, kalua pig (or lau lau), seaweed salad, and lomi salmon. I liked that it was an option to try a little bit of everything. The ahi poke was super fresh, with minimal sauce. The seaweed salad was sweet and not very fishy. The kalua pig was tender. The lomi salmon was probably my least favorite because it was pretty salty. I'd rate the DHK bowl a 3/5. Their new menu seems to be focused on CPC chicken with only a few other options. Also note there's no indoor seating, and they only have a couple of picnic tables outside.

I had bookmarked this place but after my experience with their foodstand, I'm hesitant to try their brick and mortar store. So the HoA event started at 10 am. People started lining up for their stand around 9:45 am. They didn't open at 10...or 10:15 or 10:30. I finally asked they said 15 more minutes. 10:45 came and went. We finally heard 5 minutes until opening at 10:55 am. 11 am came and went. They finally opened at 11:10 am. When I finally place more order, they didn't have the smoked meats or port musubi. What a let down. So I had to order the Kalua Pig and Spam Musubi. When I asked how much longer it would be for the smoked meat, the "auntie" said at least 30 minutes to an hour...which means in Hawaiian...sometime later today maybe before we close. Food wise, it was okay. Nothing special. Definitely not food worthy of going to their store. And they didn't even provide utensils when I picked up my food. Note to whoever runs this at events. If you're not going to open until 11 am (an hour after the event begins) at least put a sign out. And if you're not going to have certain food items ready an hour after you open, do better and be more considerate to the customers who had been waiting over an hour and now walked away disappointed.

My cousin recommended this place to me during my last visit to Huntington Beach. He was very positive as well as satisfied with the food and the service of North Shore Poke. Their overall service was undoubtedly very good, but the taste and quality of the food were the only aspects that left me disappointed! I went to North Shore Poke Co. for lunch on March 28, 2026 after my visit to Huntington Beach. The place was moderately crowded the time I got in. The interior is nicely designed, capturing a traditional Hawaiian vibe. I chose the custom poke bowl - a small bowl with Rice and Salad, topped with three Hawaiian sauces (Traditional Shoyu, Spicy Mayo, and Spicy Shoyu), along with Ahi Tuna, Salmon, and extras like Cucumber, Masago, and Furikake. I also added Fresh Spicy Tuna and Seaweed Salad, which cost an additional $4.50! What disappointed me most was being charged for the Seaweed Salad, as many other poke spots typically include it as a complimentary topping. Their service was fast, and my small poke bowl was served within 5 minutes. The portion size felt underwhelming, considering the price I paid. The taste was also below average. They claim that their fish is "Fresh", my poke bowl unfortunately didn't reflect that. Most concerning of all, the Fresh Spicy Tuna seemed spoiled and had a very unpleasant smell! When I informed them, they promptly replaced the Fresh Spicy Tuna with Blue Crab. But by that time, I had lost my appetite due to the incident and could barely finish my poke bowl. North Shore Poke Co. might be one of the top poke spots in Huntington Beach, but I would still rank The Poke Place in Rancho Cucamonga and Ahipoki Bowl in Rialto well above it. Most likely I'm not coming back to this place again!
