I was driving east on the I 70 about a 100 miles past Denver and I saw the sign for this beautiful and unexpected gem of a coffee shop and sanctuary. I pulled into the parking lot and found cars with license plates from Texas, Florida, NY and Missouri. Received a beautiful welcome from the owner Pamela. The instant feeling is wow how calm this place is. The name Ahimsa means compassion or non violence in Sanskrit and Pamela has absolutely succeeded in creating a very fitting scenario with delicious coffee, ( she so generously offered me a sample to see if I liked her dark roast), comfortable couches, a lovely and soothing water fountain, beautiful grass for dogs, a special bin for dog waste, a really spacious and warm seating area, a wonderful employee who was so courteous and efficient. I saw folks enjoying their coffee with different pastries, muffins and goodies. Love the great prices. It was $2.50 for a small coffee. ( she steamed me milk). This is the best Zen, pet friendly ( oh a big selection of treats as well), calm and fun rest stop/coffee shop I have seen and been lucky to experience in my multiple drives across our great and beautiful country. Pamela told me that this used to be a bank till she converted it into this gorgeous haven 7 years ago. She showed me the drive up window and some of the construction. She was so kind and so caring. This was a fantastic and energizing visit and stop. Ahimsa or Compassion is a very appropriate name!

Super cute place with the cleanest bathrooms we have seen our entire trip.

Super cute stop right off of I-70. Cleanest bathrooms our whole trip. We had sausage burritos, coffee and chai tea latte and everything was excellent. They don't post prices so if you're price-sensitive you'll have to ask. Our two burritos, one small chai tea latte and one large drip coffee came to $31.

Just popped in, on our way to RMNP. I had the special (salted caramel) & a berry parfait. The latter was/is the perfect temperature!! The parfait was perfect, as well. As someone who is gluten intolerant, it was nice to have something to snack on, during the remainder of the drive. The wait was a bit long, I think there is some training going on with staff, but you have to learn somehow! Will keep this gem in mind, during our travels. So nice that it's not way off 70.

The shop itself is really cute, and the people working there are always kind and welcoming -- I love that Limon has a local spot like this! That said, the coffee just isn't quite my taste. I tend to prefer a stronger, bolder brew, so their blends feel a little lighter than what I usually go for. Still, it's a cozy place to sit for a bit or meet a friend, and I appreciate having a local option in town!

What a precious little gem of a coffee place. Driving from Kansas City to Denver and I was just praying for a good cup of coffee so glad it's here. I got a cold brew with vanilla and a cinnamon roll, which is divine and 10 times better than a Cinnabon. Interior was clean. Area is quiet and peaceful. Barista was so sweet

    Extra large chai latte

Very clean and comfortable coffee shop. A nice place to take a break when driving I-70 into Colorado. Friendly barista and fast service! Chai tea latte (hot) was delicious!

I come here whenever in town and they are always so friendly, I hate to give a bad review but when I came in today I asked for breakfast burrito and I was told they were out of that and sandwich, I ordered bagel and a danish instead, the problem comes in when other people come in first 2 gentlemen and they order burritos and they make them for them then 2 large groups behind me and they get burritos. Now regardless of how nice you are and how good the coffee is no one likes to be lied too especially when they don't even try to hide the lie......

Misleading name. Surprised there are no vegan food or bakery options, when the name is Ahimsa, which is a concept from Jainism, where the followers practice strict vegetarianism. "Ahimsa" translates to "nonviolence", and it encompasses any violence, including that done towards animals. Ahimsa is about minimizing harm to all living beings. Staff was friendly. They did have nondairy milk alternatives, and the coffee was good. Pet friendly. Looks like a cute independently owned cafe. But yes, off name choice. Ahimsa isn't just a yoga term/ asthetic.

    Entry way.

If you're headed to or from Limon, stop by Ahimsa Coffee for a wide selection of coffee beverages and friendly service. "Ahimsa" mean "peace and non-violence" so this lovely shop is a peaceful place (it's even dog friendly!) with comfy seating areas, books and games. There are several tables as well. The breakfast burritos are delicious, and there are several varieties of muffins (from Costco) also on sale. Cordial staff, plenty of parking, large restroom, what's not to love?
