My friend brought me for the first time and everything was wonderful. The walls were covered in fun art which brings a playful vibe to the place. Our server was great. Answered all my annoying questions since it was my first time. Both of us got the poblano Chilaquiles, which comes with a side of steak (you can have chicken) Absolutely delicious! Looking forward to coming here again.

Customer service was alright. For being the only party there eating, the waitress didn't come to check on us. My boyfriend had to get up to ask for a soda at the counter. They served Big portions but the foods wasn't good. I have to take my ceviche home to reason it. They chicken on the molcajete was rubbery, asada was bland, and there were nothing but melted cheese in the mortal. For the price they charged, I wasn't pleased at all. My friends didn't like their plates either.

The service was fast despite it being a busy Sunday Morning! There was a lot of people but just enough tables to fit my party; the ambience is casual; they had music playing in the back and you were still able to have a good conversation with the people at your table. It looks crowded but you do have enough space for your table and the food was delicious! I got the Rojo Chilaquiles plate and it did not disappoint;) it was spicy and super good! Definitely recommend you try it!!! My husband had the scrambled eggs with ham; he gave it a 10/10 - The Carne Asada was a bit bland. I love the plates and cups they use for coffee; it makes you feel like your were transported to Mexico Loved our experience here and we will definitely be coming back! :) Estimated price $60 for 2 people (including tip)

We try to come here at least once a month, and it never disappoints. We've tried several different items on the menu and are always very satisfied!

My go-to spot whenever I'm passing through Stockton. Every visit, the staff has been attentive and welcoming, and the food is consistently on point. This time we ordered the strawberry crepes, which had a light buttery flavor and the perfect texture. They weren't overly sweet on their own, which balanced beautifully with the filling. We also had the bandera chilaquiles with potatoes, eggs, and medium-well meat. The chilaquiles had the perfect crunch, were savory with just the right spice level, and the meat was seasoned perfectly; it paired so well with the dish.

Cute aesthetic restaurant, perfect to celebrate bdays, they are popular for their mimosas containers & specializes on breakfast :) Customer service was good, the restaurant is nice, I had a breakfast molcajete consisted of 2 eggs, bacon, sausage, chilaquiles, chicken and steak for 2,& 2 café de olla and it was $64 plus tip, but everything was tasty. There's street parking right outside with meters. The restaurant is clean.

First time trying this place. Located in downtown Stockton. My friend and I wanted to get some mimosas and we heard this place was good. I ordered the chilaquiles plate with the maximum spicy level and wow it was good! Our mimosa flights were awesome too! We only had one drink and we were already feeling the buzz. Price is a little pricey but well worth it. Service was awesome too, she was very attentive. The place looks hip and modern. Place is much more appealing than the other mimosa place in downtown. A must try!

Walking in, we waited about 10 minutes to be seated. While waiting, they have a little corner area where you could take pictures. There's some chairs, some flowers and a cute little background that says you are pretty. Once we were seated we got our menus and we ordered the flight of mimosas. They were very delicious. Then we placed our order for Chilaquiles. I am very picky about my mole and I ordered the mole Chilaquiles and they were amazing. My friends also really enjoyed their orders of Chilaquiles as well. We were there for a birthday so we let the waitresses know they came out, singing happy birthday to our friend put a hat on her put up the music. It was very entertaining and our friend felt very special and they bring out an ice cream with a little sparkler. I will definitely be returning to this place.

Café de la olla!!!

My mom and I found this little gem today. After an appt at Kaiser we were ready to eat. I yelped brunch and this spot appeared. I ate the chilaquiles in green sauce and my mom had the breakfast with pancakes. All delicious... we enjoyed a cafe de la olla... so tasty, no need for sugar or cream. Staff were so polite and helpful. Parking could be difficult because it is downtown but I was with moms and she had a placard, tons of disability spaces. It was busy.. it was also around lunch time. Ambiance was family oriented, so, family eating, laughing and enjoying time together. Will most definitely coming back!

Green aguachile (pretty spicy, but if you love spice this is great, really flavorful too)

Had to drop my car off to get serviced, got hungry and was deciding between a coffee shop and another place. I forgot I've been wanting to try ah huevo for a while, so I took the opportunity to come in and eat here. Walking in, the servers up front are super nice, they are busy but they acknowledged me timely. I got seated pretty fast, and started looking at what I wanted to get. I started off with the cucumber lemonade, mann. No one can get cucumber agua fresca right, let alone cucumber lemonade. These guys did it right, and it was the perfect amount of cucumber flavor with perfectly proportioned lemonade. My only complaint was I wish I had more. Haha. Apparently they have a specials menu with foods they typically serve only in the afternoon, I got lucky and was able to try one of the specials, it was either the fried fish platter or the aguachile. Both sounded good but ended up going with the aguachile, I can't pass up trying a different aguachile from different places. Even though it was pretty spicy, the spice was so flavorful. It was not like dry heat at all eating it, the shrimps were pretty big too, raw, and the red onions + cucumbers it came with made it super refreshing. They offer 3 tostadas and some saltines to eat with the aguachile, apparently they have a brown/black aguachile which is sweeter/less spicy as well so you have a couple options to choose from. Overall, I will be coming back to try their other specials. I will be honest with you, the breakfast items did not sound that great, but give the specials a try, especially the aguachile or the fried fish. Those two were my first initial choices, and I will be back to try the fish.

At first glance, the scenery was very vibrant and welcoming! They play music in the background and have a tv playing on both sides of the restaurant! The server was very nice and made sure we understood the menu as much as possible! The coffee was strong but very good! The had handmade corn tortillas!! I had the chorizo scrambled eggs. Overall it was very very good and I will be coming back to try that molcajete!! The chilaquiles had a good flavor and a crunch to them! You guys need to really give this place a try!

Chilaquiles poblanos
Rachel S.

If you like green chilaquiles, get the Poblanos, instead of the verdes. Poblanos is creamier than the verdes!! I'd skip the aguas frescas. They were too sweet and tasted artificial. Get the cafe de olla instead!

Mimosa flight. Flavors: mango; raspberry; sunrise; and mambo. Pretty and delish!

Our table was right next to a metal utility rack they were using to store menus and cleaning products. That's fine, but my head was close to a spray bottle and a bottle of Lysol, which wasn't ideal. They were very busy, so we had high hopes for great food. Unfortunately, many of the items were bland. The beans and rice were especially underwhelming, with very little flavor--you can tell from the picture that the rice is basically plain white rice. My flautas were crunchy with fresh toppings, but the meat lacked flavor. My meal came with a bowl of fideo, but it wasn't delivered before my meal like it was for other tables. In fact, I had to ask for it after our food arrived, which makes me think I wouldn't have received it otherwise. After we finished eating, it took about 15 minutes to get our check. The servers were clearly very busy, but it would have been nice to leave sooner. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back. The noise level was overwhelming, and the food was just okay. If I did return, I wouldn't order anything that comes with beans and rice.

She was very nice and helpful. We shared a piña con coco cocktail, which I really enjoyed. It had a spicy rim and was sweet, but not too sweet. We ordered the guacamole, which was made tableside. I ordered the enchiladas al comal, which looked really good. Unfortunately, I didn't love the chipotle sauce on the enchiladas and wished I had ordered a more traditional red or green sauce. But it was still good, and I can see why it's popular. I did enjoy the steak and vegetables inside the enchiladas. I was leaning toward a 4-star rating since I didn't love my enchiladas and wouldn't order them again. But Isabella's service was so excellent that it alone pushed my review to a 5.

The prickly pear margarita tasted more like a pink Jolly Rancher than anything else, which just wasn't for me. My fajitas were alright, but they came without any sour cream or guac and the pico was mainly onion. When I asked the waiter, he told me they don't come with it, even though the menu said otherwise. Without those, the fajitas ended up being really dry. I ended up just paying and getting ready to leave, but when I grabbed a menu again and asked about it, they apologized and offered me chips and salsa to go, which I appreciated. The staff was very nice throughout, but the whole experience felt a bit disorganized. Overall, it just didn't feel like a good value for the money, and I left pretty underwhelmed.

The restaurant is small and not in the greatest location, but the food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. I can't wait to go back! The tortilla chips are a mix of corn and flour, which was a nice surprise. Literally everything we ordered was so good! I went with the build-your-own combo plate and chose a cheese enchilada, beef taco, and beef flautas. My entire plate was delicious, including the rice and beans. The homemade tortillas were so fresh and tasty. Everyone in our party of four enjoyed their food. We split the three-piece quesabirria tacos, and they were excellent. I chose the gravy cheese enchilada for my combo plate, but I also tried my partner's green chili chicken enchilada--both were great. You can choose between red, green, or gravy sauce for the enchiladas, and I definitely want to try the red next time. Don't be turned off by the unassuming storefront and corner location. I chose La Mesa because the first time we went I was very impressed with the delicious drinks and the short rib enchiladas. The atmosphere is so special and intimate whether you're on a date or with family. Both times we went, our servers were friendly and checked on us appropriately. Our server yesterday was handling making drinks at the bar and serving other tables that were there for Valentine's Day, but she still provided us with really good customer service (not sure of her name but she was wearing a pink shirt). We ordered a few drinks that included a strawberry horchata with rum, and a special one for Valentine's Day called the cupids kiss. They really stood out to me with how cute and yummy they were. For an appetizer, we ordered birria French fries. I was surprised that it had the consommé because I assumed it would make the fries soggy.... But it did not! They were AMAZING. The birria was tender and delicious, the flavor had a lot of depth in the consommé. For our entrees, we both cannot get enough of the short rib enchiladas with the mole sauce. They are our favorite. I really am just grateful that there is a restaurant like this that cares about the food they share with their customers. In the past, we ate at restaurants for my birthday where they didn't take as much pride or care about what they served. My birthday dinner at La Mesa felt very special to me and my boyfriend. As for the crispy tacos, there's a big difference between tacos that are freshly and properly fried and those that are overcooked in rancid oil. Unfortunately, what I received fell into the latter category, which is simply unacceptable. The service was also lackluster and apathetic. ----------- Jeff Berretta, no one is questioning the quality of the products served at your restaurants--La Mesa, Market Tavern, or Prime Table. The real issue is that your kitchen is ruining these high-quality ingredients. Perhaps you should try sampling them yourself to ensure better quality control. Additionally, before criticizing your customers online, I suggest you act with more professionalism. I regularly dine at your locations in Stockton and Dublin. While I do find your food overpriced and the service rather pretentious, that's not my main concern here. The real problem is your attitude. Next time I visit Market Tavern, I intend to address this with you in person and see if you live up to the online persona you project. Wishing you all the best in your role until then.
