Medium Traditional Mootz with half pep!

Found this spot after going down a serious "Stool Presidente" pizza review rabbit hole and somehow Dave still undersold it. New Haven-style pizza officially lives up to the hype. We drove an hour for it and I'd do it again tomorrow without hesitation. The char is part of the magic here. If you're not fully committed to the dark side yet, the light char pie is the perfect gateway. My wife usually isn't a heavy char fan and even she was sold. I saw the neon 8.4 sign on the wall, but this is a 9.4 easy in my book. Crispy, flavorful, balanced, and the kind of pizza that makes you immediately start planning your next visit before you finish the first slice. We slipped in on a quiet Tuesday afternoon and the staff was awesome from the jump. The franchise owner, I think Joe, was incredibly welcoming and even let us try the buffalo pizza he ordered for the crew. Great people, great pizza, great vibe. If this place was any closer, my waistline would be in serious trouble.

Been dying to try this place and it did not live up to our expectations. I'm not a fan of charred pizzas, but my boyfriend is. He liked it, but thought it could have been more well done. This being said, we are going to try it again soon in hopes that this was just a one-off situation. We shared a small Italian House Salad and a large Traditional Mootz with half pepperoni. I will update my review the next time we eat here.

Honestly... don't walk, run to Ah-Beetz! This place was delicious. New Haven style pizza has FINALLY entered the chat here in Georgia with the recently opened AhBeetz Pizza in Marietta. Originating in Florida, Ah-Beetz is known for its southern Connecticut Neapolitan style pizza. A beautiful exterior char with a super crispy crust yet chewy texture. Personally, New Haven is hands down my absolute favorite style of pizza to eat and AhBeetz absolutely nails it. For our first visit we had to try a little bit of everything! Salad, wings, meatballs, bread sticks, and of course a couple of pies. Everything comes out looking absolutely amazing. Steaming hot with beautiful vibrant colors. Salad was crisp and fresh and we all raved over the Creamy Garlic dressing. Our Garlic Parm wings were meaty and the tenderly cooked chicken literally pulled right from the bone. FRESH Parmesan and garlic made the flavor really pop. Meatballs were prepared flawlessly and came dressed with a delicious marinara sauce. The meat was soft but not mushy. They were firm but just seamed to melt away as you ate them. Naturally we HAD to grab the New Havener pizza. This no cheese pie is the way it is done. I know what you are thinking and trust me, I LOVE my cheese but this pizza did not disappoint. Between the crust and the red sauce, along with the fresh diced garlic, this was an extremely satisfying and flavorful pie. Another New Haven specialty is the White Clam Pizza. AhBeetz does things right, bringing in fresh clams and shucking them in house! Overall we enjoyed every last bite and I honestly am aching to go back!

New. Haven. Ah-Beetz. I've simply got to search the world for the rest of the year to find something better than this (somehow). I got a traditional personal size cheese pizza. New haven pizza has got to be one of my favorite styles. You simply can't eat it without getting sauce and a char dust on your fingers. It's got delicious flavors: a rich and savory red sauce, a crispy thin crust with a soft interior cooked to perfection, and a melty gooey cheese that is subtle and addicting. The main thing that sticks out to me here- the sauce. I've never had anything like it. I'm sad that I can't eat this pizza non-stop... my mouth is still watering for more. They've got fair prices and good deals. I added a 5ct of Buffalo Chicken Wings to my order for free with a reward (this was my first time visiting). The wings were just about what I would expect- nothing too special- but not necessarily bad. The buffalo sauce was pretty classic and not too spicy. Additionally, despite all that being said, having some buffalo wings to pair with your pizza is just a fantastic combo. I went in pretty close to the time that they opened, they got business even on a Tuesday morning pretty quickly. They do both carry out and dine in. The dine in experience is accompanied with full time servers- which was unexpected to me for this kind of small pizza restaurant. They also have counter service for carry out orders and their hospitality is pretty good. While waiting for my pizza, I noticed that every guest got a "welcome in" upon entry and the staff would immediately cater to check in on them. The cleanliness is really nice too- I would enjoy dining in anytime. Check out the video attached with the sound on! Listen to that crispy crust and witness that beautiful undercarriage with zero flop... yum!

Pursuing Flavors Logo Restaurant Reviews Ah-Beetz Date Visited: 28-11-2025 I heard about this new place in Kennesaw on Barrett east of 575 that serves New Haven style pizza and had to give it a try. I like Chicago style, New York, Neopolitan, Detroit... but never tried New Haven. It was excellent. Small place, atmosphere very casual, you take a seat and they come take your order. I like beer with pizza, but they don't have liqour license yet or maybe don't plan to. They do have unique to New Haven soft drinks, they sell grinders and salads that appear to be unique to that part of the country. We ordered a large cheese... second item on the menu. It came out quick looked fantastic and tasted even better. This is tied for my favorite pizza in the area with Vesuvio. BTW I found out that Portnoy did a review of their Florida location and gave it a very strong score of 8.3. Go try some ! !!

Sausage with red and white onion

This pizza lives up to its namesake! 10/10. By far the best pizza I've had in the ATL metro area. Georgia is where I call home now, but I was born and raised in New Haven CT. There isn't much I miss about Connecticut, but pizza is definitely at the top of that list. Ah-Beetz feels like a New Haven pizza joint, from the ambience, down to the Foxon Park soda (iykyk). We tried the pepperoni and the sausage and onion pizza. They were both great. The sauce to cheese ratio was perfect, the undercarriage was perfectly crisp, and the crust has the perfect char! I can't say enough good things about this place. The service was great as well, very attentive and accommodating. As long as they keep it up I will be a customer for a LONGGGGGGGGGG time. Next time I gotta try the clam pizza.

They use it for salad dressing and you could put it on almost anything. The marinara was even better and they will be packaging it and selling it in stores very soon. Definitely make sure you get some! I spoke with one customer and he drives all the way from Mableton to get his pizza here. They have been at this location for 34 years!!! That should say it all!!! Thank you Stephen and Labella's for an awesome experience!

We had planned to eat the pizza there, but when we walked in the place was a lot smaller and dingier than I expected. There was zero ambiance. They had more of a waiting area than a dining area, which was surprising to me. Luckily my friend lives nearby so we just took the pizza to go. While we were waiting, employees came and sat at the table next to us and were putting together pizza boxes. It's just weird, I don't get it. I would either make a legitimate dining area (one not used for side work and much nicer than what is currently in place) or get rid of the tables altogether. They're old and in the way. Turn some music on, clean up the interior. Also the outside of the place is a bit run down. Parking lines so ancient you can't see them- that kind of thing. The pizza was pretty good but not amazing and for $22.75 I need it to be amazing. I like supporting small businesses, but when I can get a better tasting and cheaper pizza at Dominos, that's unfortunately the route I have to go. Especially when the spot has no ambiance. Sadly I will not be back unless they someday reduce prices, add more items to their menu, and create a real dining space.

On the inside it's a quaint dining area with a parlor style, very simple chairs and tables. You've got full view of their pizza oven which is engraved with Vesuvio on the front. Sparsely decorated with vintage and photos reminiscent of Napoli Italy. They host Neapolitan style pizza which includes simple and fresh ingredients and a thin crust making it easy to fold a piece of their pies together to prevent spills. There is a small fridge with drinks on the side. You go up to the counter, grab a menu and tell the cashier/hostess what you want and you pay right at the counter. Tipping is optional. We ordered the margherita and porcillina pies. The first had all the expected toppings. I really liked the taste of the fresh mozzarella and they didn't heavily sauce it so it was a delicate balance. Topped with marzano tomatoes and basil was so delicious. The second was topped with Italian sausage and spicy salami. Just a slow heat that wasn't overpowering which I really liked. The crust on both were very evenly cooked, a wonderful blend of chewy and crispy. I also didn't feel like these pies were heavy. They didn't weigh down your stomach afterwards. I was also eyeing their homemade bruschetta which I think I would try next. The prices here were also quite good, no higher than 16 dollars making an affordable night out. The simplicity and freshness of the food makes it worthwhile to visit and try for yourself!

Everything is done properly and stays true to the Neapolitan style. It's also about a five-minute walk from the train station, which makes it a great option if you're short on time and want a reliable, classic pizza without going far. Solid execution, even if it didn't quite stand out compared to some of the top spots in the city.
