We did 2 projects, lacquer paint for kitchen cabinets and limewash on exterior brick veneer. I have hired painters many times over the years, but it is extremely hard to find a painter who could do lacquer paint in California (due to regulation) and also knows how to do lime washing on exterior bricks. Our house had ugly red brick veneer that I hated for a long time but I didn't know what to do with it except replacing it with new stone veneer but the cost would be so much more. Ondrej is originally from Europe so he knew exactly what I had in mind. His crew spent almost 3 days just for the brick veneer to get look I was going for. I had Heredia Antiques do a refinish and some minor restoration work on an American of Martinsville…read moremid century display case. I am beyond satisfied with the workmanship, the turnaround time, and the friendliness of Zeferino Heredia and his staff. I requested that they try to keep the new finish as close as possible to the original finish, and they were able to reproduce it perfectly. All of the dents, dings, scuffing, and scratches are no longer visible, and the worst damage (a large crack on the inside of the one of the doors) is fixed and no longer visible. This piece is ready to go for another lifetime. It was one week from pickup to dropoff, which I found very surprising considering the quality of the work. After I spent some time to look over the piece in detail once it was dropped off, I noticed just how much care was put into the restoration. The finish is completely smooth and uniform, and even the dirty aluminum hardware was cleaned and polished. The work was so well done that it's not obvious that any restoration work was performed, which is exactly what I (and I expect most customers) want for an antique restoration. It's also worth noting that I called another furniture restoration company before Heredia who quoted about double what Heredia charged, including the delivery (pickup and dropoff) charges. I don't think it's possible that the other company could have done a better job than what was done by Heredia. In the attached photos, there are some before and after pics of some of the most significant wear/damage that was repaired. I am now actively looking for more good deals on worn/beat-up mid century pieces so that I can have more work done by Heredia Antiques. I highly recommend them and will work with them again without hesitation.

Read the fine print!!!!…read more I had my tub reglazed in my guest bathroom. The yep was really nice and overall I think he did a good job (the smell is a lot so I didn't get to really inspect yet) But before he left I pointed out that paint was removed from the walls. I took photos of the few that I could see before he sealed the room. When I called the company they said in the fine print there is a note that they are not responsible for any damage to the walls. I just had this bath redone so it's not an old paint issue! So now I'm going to pay $400 for a small bathtub to be reglazed and have to hire a painter to come out and smooth and repaint the walls. Needless to say shit customer service!!

We did feel 12 bags of self leveling concrete was excessive when it looked like it was only used on a few corners of the room in a job less than 900 sq feet. Unfortunately one of the stair nosing broke within a couple weeks of install. Rafi was responsive in redoing the stairs stating it was a manufacturing defect and that the new version is stronger. Unfortunately the second team quality of work was very poor. They left holes in our walls that were patched poorly with plaster. Worst of all the stairs were apparently nailed to the subfloor and after a few weeks they started to rise leaving little holes and nails protruding from the floor. A few of the stair noses are loose as well. At this point, Rafi became unresponsive to have the flooring fixed. We ended up getting some of our money back through our credit card after months went by but the majority of the payment was by check. Basically we will need to replace the stairs again on our own dime. Buyer beware! Lifetime warranty doesn't mean anything if the installer ghosts you.
