A fine place to stay, with friendly and personable owners/staff. Great views over the hills and the fine swimming pool. That deserves four stars. The decor of the dining room and the bedrooms can be described as 'country eclectic', and with careful attention and a good eye could be very nice. For this, three stars. There are interesting places to visit less than an hours drive away.
The meals are served in the large dining room. The breakfasts are filling, and the four course dinners are tasty. A fine antipasto with excellent mozzarella, different pasta dishes on the three days we ate there, and the meat course was a good roast chicken or rabbit, and one evening delicious thin pork chop. Ending it all with fruit and washed down with decent chewy red house wine and grappa.
Much of the produce is farmed on their land and is fresh. The wine is their own blend of grapes.
An "out of the way" place well worth a stay. Deserves three and a half stars. read more
