He briefly explained to me what he did and what I have to do, which is basically nothing, except to call him if there's any problem or when the sediment filter has to be replaced next year. There's just one thing that I noticed. The cover for the water drain was missing. I'm not sure if the guys who worked on the water drain misplaced it I texted Adrian about it as soon as I noticed it was missing a few hours after he left, but I haven't heard back from him. This summer it broke yet again and we bit the expensive bullet and started quote shopping. Right off the bat, Alex, was very responsive and communicative in getting us quotes in numbers and cut straight to the chase with numbers games for us. This is an expensive purchase and Alex was very willing to work on getting us the best price in any quote we could procure or others we talked to in the Austin area. Our AC unit went out Sat/Sunday, we talked Sunday night to Alex, and Monday evening after talking with 3-4 more companies, pulled the trigger on our new Carrier 3.5 T unit to swap out our current Trane 3.5 T unit. Alex's crew, his brothers, showed up bright and early Tuesday morning, and got to work! Pulled out the old HVAC system for interior and exterior, which was not an easy job in how our home was built and whoever lived here before decided to put all the big ticket items in the garage but the guys did a great job getting creative! I also spoke to Nimo, who was an absolute pleasure from a business standpoint, in ensuring we could understand everything we paid for today, helped turn the system back on, confirmed everything was properly installed and cleaned up and left even better than when we came in! I absolutely love that we went with Cool Time HVAC. Their customer service is unparalleled in helping us navigate something the typical homeowner considers a headache, and painful financial purchase, but they made it such a no nonsense ordeal. Our a/c went out this afternoon and by 9pm when we noticed it was 82 degrees inside I figured we were boned. Wrong. So wrong. My special man friend found Morris after yelping and gave it a shot. The dude answered, said he'd be over in about an hour and he was. I didn't even see this guy, he was in and out. Fixed us right up and was on his way. Whole thing was faster and less painful than a trip to the dentist. I'm incredibly thankful I'll be able to sleep tonight in a cool bed and not a sweat lodge. Rate wasn't bad either. Everything a/c related is expensive and they will charge a diagnostic fee, but it's reasonable for immediate service like this!
