First visited by chance en route from London via 303 to West Wilts. I have spent much of my life cultivating interesting and memorable experiences in Indian Restaurants. All over the world. I did not for one moment expect a small unassuming 'local' restaurant in a very rural town on the edge of Salisbury Plain to be such a jewel.
Absolutely delicious. Carefully managed tastes and flavors, unexpected but subtle twists on classic dishes. Have been back twice more, nothing has disappointed thus far.
So don't let their lack of a licence for alcohol put you off... just be prepared and arrive complete with a bottle of your favourite wine. The service is attentive and friendly.
Overall this is an exceptional experience for those that love Indian tastes and flavours. Don't miss it if you live within driving range. The lack of a 5th star is only due to it being unlicenced. read more
