The kitchen is a home kitchen with a house keeper washing the dishes by hand. It is a help yourself type of situation. BYOB and pour it yourself. There is a total of 16 seats per night. 6 of us in our reservation. They dim the place for the ambience. Food wise - Total of 7 courses - last 2 was the dessert. There is no printed menu, so you'll just have to ask what it is that you're eating and why the main course -steak- was served first. We were asked to keep the utensils through out the course as they do not change your silverware for every course. Cringe. I had such a high expectation with the food prior to dinner. It felt flat - Everything. The only thing that we like was the corn bread. The steak was tough - some us got super rare and some got overly done tough. Some flavor combination just didn't pair well. Something with a fish dish but sour like hell. Another dish was blue and it just did not look a dish coming out of a fine dining restaurant. Funny the people that were there was talking about Somni, Providence, Melisse.... It just did not even come close. It's like going to a friend's house who's practicing to be a fine dining chef. Pics of the food is posted in this review. None of them was impressive. It just did not go well together. When it came to the 7th course - it was a shaved ice. The Asian assitant cook brought them over and said it's Mandarin ice. So we asked, can you give us a little bit more description... his response was so rude that he said "it's ice with mandarin orange flavor". Oh ok - now you say mandarin oranges. But his condescending attitude is not appreciated. The night is ending and the Chef has not once come to the table to say Hi or introduced himself. People started to leave and he decided to speak to some remaining guests. Then he gets stuck with that particular guest for a long time until everyone is leaving. We probably just had like a Hi and Hello thank you for the food. He seems nice though. Then we all left. We clearly didn't even care anymore at that point. Bad food and bad experience. No parking. Good luck finding a parking on the streets on fountain and Vermont with all the homeless around. It's a hype. It's mysterious because it's really not listed as a restaurant. Not for everyone.

Parking is easy in the Whole Food lot. the service is great, the staff is always friendly and listen to what you want. Now, these are not cheap hot dogs. They are great. Some people pour ketchup all over them, which I find gross, but whatever you like. I love their regular hot dogs with mustard. I really don't need to be fancy. We take them home or eat in the car. There is usually a line, but it moves fast. Every dog is seared fresh to order and served with pickles and most of the time pepperoncini on the side. Yummy. They sell great chips. I love to get those and add them to my dog. Try it, it is good. Their Mediterranean Dog has tomato and cucumber -with pickled onion and the best garlic aioli. I think that might be my favorite. Have fun.

Glanced at the list of the dog options which quickly had me craving a dog. This place offers not only meat dogs but vegan dogs ta boot! The Vegan Chi dog sounded pretty darn good (Michael recommended it) so I ordered me one. Tell you what... it was delicious! Owner Michael is also the head chef... actually, the only chef, as well as a very cool guy! This first timer will be back again very soon! Craving another dog already! Next time I will try the vegan LA Street dog!

The corn flour masa of the pupusas are thick and remind you of an almost pancake-like texture. They are crisped up on the grill until little bits of cheese ooze out. The generous fillings burst with high quality ingredients. The cheese and loroco is dotted with with little earthy flower buds. Go for a cheese pull with the smooth cheese and spinach. The chicken pupusa is super flavorful with a savory, sweet, and creamy blend of chicken, onions, and corn. Depending on when you go, they may be out of the pork chicharron and other popular fillings. The curtido is piled on top of the pupusas. The fermented cabbage, onions, carrots, and jalapeño peppers add a sweet and tangy complement. The red salsa adds sweetness and mild heat. There was a line wrapped around their booth, roughly ~15 minutes long. It did move relatively quick, and service was nice and efficient. To eat, I ordered a Chicken & Cheese With Vegetable and a Bean & Cheese. With the Bean & Cheese, I opted to substitute the corn masa with organic blue corn masa for just $1. It did take an extra 5 minutes or so, but I felt it was well worth it, as that ended up being by far my favorite. I'm no expert on pupusas, but these were certainly delicious. If I'm ever at another farmers' market with a Delmy's Pupusas booth, I definitely plan to order another Bean & Cheese with organic blue corn masa.

I ended up feeding the meter once, so it was maybe 1 hour. The wait line was long, but I went early so it wasn't too bad. Summer is probably not the ideal time to visit! hahaha. The interior has a typical, cool brewery vibe, and they have a nice-sized patio, too. Let's get to the food. We had the Beef Ribs, Pork Belly Burnt Ends, Tri-TIp Burger (or maybe it was Brisket), and two sides. Obviously, we couldn't finish it all, but we wanted to taste a few things in one visit. Unfortunately, the pork belly burnt ends were too dry for my liking, and the sides were just ok. Overall, the food was only good-ish for me. I feel like I don't need to drive all the way here when I can find the same quality BBQ restaurants throughout the city. But if you love BBQ, it might still be fun to try this place.
