Although we wound up having three different helpers, each one was prompt, pleasant, helpful and in general a really nice person. In fact, I worried a bit as we'd have a new helper... and they started great and just kept getting better. Originally, we decided to bring in the helper primarily to give my husband a break. For me, it was really nice to have a helper. Our helpers were women of varying ages and it was great being doted on without feeling like I was imposing on my husband. Women are born nurturers. Between my husband, our son and two male cats, it was great just having a little more estrogen in the house During times when I was napping or we had a lull, the helpers were wonderful about working on laundry, light cleaning and even went through our sons closet and weeded out the too-small clothes (something I have been trying to get to for months). Home Helpers was flexible with scheduling since we weren't quite sure what we'd need. Also, their rates were reasonable. My recovery has been a bit slower (than I'd hope), however, right on track per my docs. We would not hesitate to call Home Helpers again!

She reached out to me the same day, asked for the contacts of his primary care, contact them and got all the paperwork done within a few hours! Next thing i knew, their team was reaching out to me and we had schedule a time for their physical therapist Matthew Walker to come visit my grandpa the next day. This helped us to be put as ease due to his age and health conditions. Matt came the next morning for his appointment. Was fully thorough with every single thing- it was amazing. He asked all the small details, took his time to understand my grandpa and what his goals and needs were, and was so patient with everything he worked on with him. He had great communication, texted and called me to check up on my grandpa daily, and was always available for questions. We next had Betty as our nurse who came to analyze his medications. Betty was also very helpful in reaching out to all his different practitioners to confirm on his medications, what he needed, why he took what meds, and helped finalize a list of what was really necessary. She was very helpful in clarifying a lot of things that the medical doctors didn't inform us on. As my grandpa got better, the visits ended but my grandpa completed his home health visit knowing that he was in great hands! He was so grateful for the entire Sutter team for how quickly they were able to help him, all the exercises they taught him to do, and for getting him back on his feet again. They were able to accommodate our requested hours on short notice. We love their smartphone app , their rate schedule and the fact they take credit cards. The two caregivers we have had so far were excellent. They both found things to help with and didn't need much prompting from me. I am surprised to see any reviews that are low as I would give six stars if I could. Their intake process was highly professional and their business shows a high degree of organization at all levels. Take it from a very organized retired teacher. Honor is worth checking out and trying their services. Kudos to management and staff .

My only gripe is when the regular caregiver is unable to come. Honor Care doesn't seem to have a backup system in place. So, most of the time no replacement comes or they able to come only at different hours. I could be wrong, but it feels like they treat caregivers like Uber drivers. Instead of proactively having a backup list or making phone calls, it feels like they just open up a slot and hope somebody responds. I could be wrong, but that is the way it feels.

Just the other day Dad's caregiver called me because a doctor had prescribed a medication that (even the doctor admitted) may or may not have any effect on helping Dad's memory, and the pharmacy called to say that it would cost (after insurance coverage) over $600 (for a 3 month supply). I appreciated his checking with me before spending my father's money on unnecessary medication.
