I did end up buying a rare Japanese blended whiskey for a great price; and was housed in their "unicorn items" glass case, which made me feel extra special buying it. While there I got to meet the owner and her staff which where both very accommodating and kind. They even let me try a sample of the expensive whiskey I was checking out to begin with. I was very impressed by that. Most mom and pop liquor stores won't do that, and because they did that, they've earned themselves a new loyal customer. I'm big into supporting local businesses and while I won't be able to always afford shopping there, when I can, I'll go! Another bonus for this place is they carry certain whiskeys and bourbons that the big name liquor stores don't carry. All in all a great 1st visit! Will definitely be back!

So my card wasn't charged, and he wasn't going to get paid. Immediately after starting to gas-up, he cut off the process and came out into the parking lot, explaining the error. But I never got my $5 worth of gas, which he refused to acknowledge. So I may have got a quart of gas. He came out and demanded payment for $5. I gave him $5 and drove off. I don't think the proprietor has much regard for the good old folks in the CS/Bryan area. It's a shame that vendors who come into this area feel they have to cheat in order to stay in business. I really felt cheated and disregarded by his attitude.

Brookshire brothers is a beautiful grocery store that is so enjoyable to shop in, wonderful staff who are so cared for- their stories of employment there are so beautiful, it causes me catharsis every time I BB comes to mind. They have a wide selection of everything you need grocery wise. From the general unhealthy foods and snacks that most Americans won't sacrifice, to the ultra clean, minimal ingredients products me and all my mom friends prefer. The fresh cut meat looked so good today that I felt regret for my last purchase of meat proteins (from HEB). Their sirloins were so beautiful they stopped me in my tracks. Will definitely be buying my meat there next time. They have a Starbucks on the premises and my husband got a coffee to go. I used the rest room. The bathroom is usually very clean, but think there was a bad smell in there yesterday. The cleaning crew was in there, so maybe they would have taken care of the smell too if I have been there a while Later. They have lots of the usual stop n go stuff for sale candy, fountain drinks and coffee. But what caught my eye were these cute animal booty/non skid slippers. They were so cute -wolf ones, bear ones and others including college team inspired ones. Wish I had had my camera with me when I saw them.
