For the latest in "gentrifying the outer suburbs heading north", there is sure a dearth of bougie coffee shops in the Glenorchy CBD. There's Coffee Club and Rhyme St... and that's about it for the Businessy area of the CBD. Aiming to address this issue is Agent Cooper. Unassuming, small and decorated in Shabby Chic and the ""modern cafeteria" vibe with black metal, bricks and no decor on the walls.
It's noisy even with only a few customers inside, the walls being brick and VERY reflective and echoing the grinding, whirring and 90's throwbacks coming off the speaker (not complaining at all about the music selection, btw)!
Service is prompt, and despite it being relatively busy when i stepped in, even with a slightly left of centre order it was done and in my hands in a relatively short amount of time. The coffee itself was good; not great, but I certainly have had more disappointing coffee in my travels around. You could do far, far worse Than Agent Cooper. read more
