I love having Agaves across the street from us! I love the vibe in here, and I love sitting at the bar! Although it is a little loud in here, it matches the atmosphere! They have so many things that are my favorites, I can't say just one. My favorite appetizer is the Texas dip. It has everything in it to make my stomach happy!! It is a wonderful queso that has steak, chicken, shrimp, and onions when I'm done using it as a dip I heated up the next day and have it as soup. I know it sounds strange, but it's absolutely delicious. You get great service sitting at the bar or at a table or at their outside tables. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because their website is very difficult to navigate. I would love to be able to see their specials every day and be able to order online easier than it is now. I wish they had one site to order from and then you choose the location when you finalize your order. We love our home Agaves on Highway 41. We eat here far too often my favorite entrée is the seafood chimichanga with no bell peppers, but tonight I am just trying the agave's sampler because I have no idea what I actually want LOL but my husband is easy. I ordered takeout from here after working later than expected and it was surprisingly good. I ordered 4 tacos 2 ground beef and 2 chicken. The tacos weren't as crunchy as I expected but it could have been because I was late picking up the order. I also had the special nachos with chicken which were good. The inside was clean and the staff friendly, I'm sure eating here is better than takeout. I'd give it another go when in the mood for Mexican food. read more

We've been to Agave a few times now and each time has been really enjoyable. The service has been great and everyone is very attentive and nice. The margarita pitchers are well priced and taste pretty good too! We visited for happy hour and I love they offer happy hour everyday not just weekdays! The draft beer is cold and perfect! The cheese dip is delicious and the chicken fajitas for 2 is massive! The chicken is well seasoned and the tortillas taste fresh. I love the inside and outside bar and the patio is also nice. I would never suggest this restaurant to anyone. The food wasn't at all warm, not cold but no temperature heat at all. I ordered a combination plate with a burrito, tostado, rice and black beans. The only thing that was worth eating was the 1/8 cup of black beans and they were actually warm. I got an enchilada instead of a burrito, the cheese wasn't even melted on top. The rice had zero flavor, and the tostada had no refried beans on it, at least I never saw or tasted any. There was a lot of lettuce, some tomatoes and cheese, and very little shredded chicken. I feel sorry for the waitstaff. Our waitress was very attentive. I don't see she will be able to survive with the quality of food being served there. read more

Early dinner at the bar. Walked in at 4 and it was empty, by the time we left at 6 it was packed. Friendly bartender, decent drinks but the tacos were fantastic! Soft corn tortillas were cooked perfectly. I had the tofu taco which I was skeptical of at first bc it has pineapple in it. I had THE WORST EXPERIENCE ever yesterday at Agave on Daniels Island in Charleston SC!!!! The waitress, Nadia was SO RUDE to me!! It was my daughter's Sweet 16 birthday and they did not sing to her, even though they said they would... the waitress refused to come back to our table to serve the 2 girls who arrived later bc she was "BUSY", literally looked us in the eyes everytime she came to the area and would not come back and serve them, I didn't even get a chance for a second drink bc she never came back...so I went to ask her what was going on bc the kids had been waiting to order and she said "They have to get another table bc you told me it was only going to be 5....that was a BIG LIE bc I specifically told her that it was going to be 7 or 8 when the others arrived...She was SO SHOCKINGLY RUDE. I spoke to the manager and she did nothing about it... she did apologize but she stood right there and did NOTHING about the disrespect, NOTHING about not acknowledging my daughter's birthday, when she specifically selected THIS restaurant for her Sweet 16! Love this place! We come here often for a last minute meal. You never have to wait whether sitting at the bar, table or in their outside seating. Foods great and we love the bartenders especially on the weekends. They are quick with getting you chips and salsa and taking your order. Love their skinny margarita. Beers are always really cold. There's a lot of parking but you may have to walk a bit if it's a crowded night with so many competing businesses. The chips and salsa start us off along with a signature margarita. Whether tacos, burritos, fajitas or enchiladas, the food is delicious. The food was what you would see in most American Mexican establishments, fajitas, tacos, refried beans, chips and salsa, etc. the food was nothing overly spectacular but tasted really good. The service was solid, the bar tender and bar back made sure I never went without a drink and came back many times to check on me. The overall feel or ambiance of the place was inviting and colorful. We came to Agave for a girls lunch and it was ok. Nothing to rave about. The restaurant is located in the Lowe's parking lot on 41. It's definitely a nice addition to the strip mall and probably much needed, considering the volume of people who live in and near that area. Nice typical Mexican decor, very large restaurant with an outdoor patio area and lots of staff. It was very quiet at lunch time and therefore the space almost seemed too big. It would be interesting-to come here on a weekend night to see if the space fills up. I assume they have seating for probably a hundred people. The staff were friendly, pleasant and super efficient. My fav Mexican restaurant in Mt. P.! It's always super yummy whenever we go. Usually get to-go, but decided to go on cinco de mayo. They were packed to the brim but the manage to effectively get everyone in in a timely manner. Frozen margaritas were bomb, but the jalapeño margaritas were even better. A local spot for me. It has one of the most user-friendly websites I've used for a restaurant. All food items are clearly described. You can pay online or pay later. Wanting a cozy night in with my daughter, we ordered online with ease. We chose to pick-up. The estimated time for pick-up was spot on. When it's time to pick, the host goes to the back and collects the food so you can safely remain at the front. The food is delicious and fresh. We enjoyed the Chile Colorado and the Arroz con Mariscos. Both came with a choice of two sides and tortillas. Complimentary salsa and chips were in the bag too! The food is very reasonably priced. Our bill with taxes came to $31. As wonderful as the food is, I'm not comfortable dining in. Currently the weather is cold and so sitting outside is not an option. Inside, there is no limitation on seating and so it's pretty busy. The bar was near full. The employees are all wearing masks but several are not covering their noses, only their mouths. This place has really good Mexican food. I definitely recommend getting a take-out from here during the pandemic. read more

Food took way too long, was cold , and the entire order was messed up. We asked for the sour cream and guac to be on the side but we did not get them at all and had to ask twice. The veggie quesadilla was soggy and gave me a stomach ache. The so called margarita was the worst I have ever had and not worth the $9.95 I paid for it. Definitely not worth their prices. read more

Visited the restaurant , Mt Pleasant SC location on Saturday June the 15th with 2 other ladies friends, we are local and my friends wanted to try Agave's at my recommendation because I've visited your other locations and very excited to have you in Mt P. A bit disappointed because the service wasn't what I knew from other locations , starting with the host, a smile won't hurt.... She sat us down and we got the chips and salsa (delicious ) but no one else came after that to ask us what drinks we wanted. We were sitting down by the "back" door end of the bar and at least 6 servers were having a good time/conversation but not acknowledging the patrons. Also I had to ask 3 people for extra chips. Nice to finally have a local Mexican restaurant close to home, so we enjoyed a late lunch recently. Interior is very large, with a few booths near the entrance, rest are all tables. There is nice patio outside which will be great when the weather is better. We were seated and greeted instantly, with a serving of complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was OK, but lacked any heat. So I had to ask for something with spice and heat, and viola the server brought out 3 others. So if you like it hot, as for them. The creamy green salsa was the best, and the other 2 are really hot. The menu is typical of what you can find at most Mexican restaurants. I liked that the menu was listed with a section from the grill of which you could choose chicken, beef or seafood. The rest of the menu is full of tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and quesadillas. I decided to order the Pollo Ranchero, grilled chicken breast with grilled mushrooms & onions, and cheese. I enjoyed it, as it was served hot and had the grilled flavor I wanted. My husband had the chimichanga, which was equally delicious. They have a nice happy hour listing, and also had some beers with the meal. Overall we enjoyed our first time visit here, as the service was both friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. Agaves is a nice, close option for Mexican food in North Mt. I wouldn't say it's super authentic Mexican food. The house margaritas aren't my favorite because I'm not a big fan of the mix they use... but it's always been fine for our family of 6. Visited this establishment this evening as a group of nine... Walking in the door they were very accommodating with great seating and immediately put chips and salsa on my table. The wait staff was very quick and cordial to get drinks and take orders. The refill rate on our drinks was perfect and the food was delicious. This was my first time going but it will definitely not be my last since my steak was perfect and those beans were phenomenal. They are fast to serve, and very efficient. The menu is long, with a little bit of everything for everyone. The food is awesome sometimes, and bland some others. I asked the waitress, and she said that they don't have the same cook everyday. One of the cooks is my favorite- but it changes... You should try this place !
