Awesome, filling street tacos! Sure there are a couple of places that pack a little more flavor into a taco around, but when you look for the total package, this place has it all. Sizable Tacos with plenty of unique flavor and awesome Taco Tuesday specials. I have to recommend the Vietnamese taco and of course the Pink Taco. The pink taco with its marinated ahi tuna is the single best food item I have had in Downtown Pensacola! Plus... margaritas! They have an awesome selection of tequila and plenty of unique blends. I think they could stand to use a solid "cheap" house 'Rita to their lineup, but that's nitpicking. I have also had a moderate wait for food at times, but I can deal with that for the value I get. Everything was fresh and came out fast. I was impressed by the Pink tuna taco. The tuna was so delicious. The veggie taco was very flavorful also, but you really have to get a side of the Mexican street corn. My margarita was great, but there was a layer of salt at the bottom of my glass that made the last half undrinkable. This was probably the worst dining experience I've ever had. As soon as we walked in, the bartender was rude. We were told to seat ourselves and picked a seat outside. After about ten minutes, we had to go inside to remind the bartender that we were outside. The server came out with menus and asked for our drink orders. Two girls ordered margaritas and I asked what type of beer they had on tap. she responded, "some American ones and a few Mexican ones." Perfect. So I asked for a drink menu. She walked back over and tossed a drink menu on the table and walked away. After about ten minutes, the bartender came out with the margaritas and told us she was taking over our table because the server was too overwhelmed. We then ordered the rest of our drinks and food. We waited for 40 minutes when we finally asked if we could just pay for our drinks and leave without eating becAuse we were hungry and the food still wasn't out. The server went back and our food immediately came out. I ordered the hot chicken and another that I can't remember what was on it. They both looked really good but as soon as o went to grab a bite, I noticed they were super cold. I took a bite anyway and my chicken was cold. Everyone at the table was saying their tacos were cold. I think the only hot food there was were the fries but the actual fries were not hot, just the stuff on top. I wish we could have enjoyed the tacos because they honestly did look delicious and it's unfortunate that the restaurant is so poorly run. I also feel like the menu is a rip off of nomadic eats. A few things on the menu were similar. When we told them the food was terrible, they did take the food off of our tickets and gave us a discount on the food. We loved this place and we are from Texas and love Mexican food! Don't let the exterior fool you, even though it is in a small shopping center, the food is the real deal and very authentic. We were waited on at the table and had excellent service from our waiter. The steak tacos were some of the best we have had and the refried beans were absolutely the best I have ever eaten. The chips and queso were great and very fresh. They had a couple of hot sauces and we really liked them. I drag my family to Mexican restaurants literally all over the world and this one was a win! We will go back when we are in the area, our waitress was very friendly and told us about the owners and the restaurant. Horrible service, handed the bartender my Guam (U.S. territory) ID then he insisted that I needed my passport with me at all times when I go out, which doesn't make sense because I'm a U.S. citizen. So I showed him my United States military ID and still he insisted that I needed my passport when my military ID allows me to travel the world. In the end, it took another customer and I to say that Guam is US territory for the bartender to let it go. We chose Taco Agave for their online drink specials as well as half price tacos. Can't beat it, right? Well, not so fast. They did not honor any drink specials. (false advertising?) They were out of the monthly margarita mix. There were only two tacos on the menu included in the special. That being said, our drinks were still excellent and the tacos good. I was excited that a new taco spot was opening considering there is only 1 in town that is the real deal Mexican street food taco and it is in East Hill. Good, fun spot here but the tacos are covered in to many things-sweet slaw, sauces, etc. I don't understand why people can't just make simple, authentic food.
