Seated myself. It was almost 1 pm when I stopped for lunch. Waitress brought me a menu and then my drink very quickly. She was polite and personable. I was told they had the best burger in town. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger without a bun and fries. They had a ribeye salad and some breakfast options I would like to try on my next visit. Nice colorful menu Metal utensils, paper napkins and real plates. Complimentary chips and salsa were pretty good. The salsa had a good spicy bite and was cold and fresh. The fries were crispy outside and flavorful inside, very good with just the right amount of salt and spices on them. The bacon on my burger was real and thick, not like 5 Guys which to me is sprinkle bacon like you put on your salad, LOL My only complaint would be the burger patty. It seemed as if it had breading mixed in based upon the texture and was somewhat spongy. That was the only thing lowering a potential five star review. I will definitely try here again with some other picks from the menu.

Pretty much the only place open in this town on a Sunday. Service was good, although waitress was so soft spoken that it was hard to understand the questions she was asking. The fajitas came out sizzling, but were on the dry side. I asked for no beans and got beans anyway, and asked for corn tortillas and got flour ones. The pico was really good as was the salsa. My partner really liked his food. Would come here again but order something different.

I've eaten food from here a couple of times and had a good experience both times. Food was good and customer service was amazing.

I have eating here pretty frequent. Good food overall. The taco salad was good. So were the street tacos.

Now let me tell you about the food. We opened with the crab cakes - they were excellent. Hubbie ordered the Red Fish Pontchartrain and I ordered a custom dinner: Shrimp and sea scallops with the lemon asparagus risotto. Everything was spectacular: beautiful season, beautifully cooked, beautifully presented. However, I must warn you: portions are ENORMOUS. We had to take half of our food home. Still, we decided to order the crème brûlée. Highly recommended! Creamy and not overly sweet. The only thing that we're not outstanding were the bread and the coffee. They could go with a more rustic bread.

(we live in san antonio) but... the experience this time was just ok, not fantastic. despite hubbie making reservations 3 weeks in advance, and restaurant knowing it was a celebratory occasion, we were seated at the very first table - which faces the entrance. awkward location. we pretty much ordered same meal as last time. mexican shrimp cocktail - sauce was very thick in an off putting way, but shrimp was fresh and nicely chilled. hubbie got shrimp & oysters with fries. he's not one to complain much, but he said all were a bit greasy & not as crispy as he'd like. i had shrimp, scallops & broccolini. plate came with not very well prepared broccoli - with no mention from server before or upon arrival of switch. how can broccoli be both under & over at same time? unsure, but parts were very hard and others too soft, so it went mostly uneaten. i would have asked for something else if id known they didnt have broccolini. scallops & shrimp were well prepared, but light, velvety sauce from last time was replaced with slightly "gloopy" and a bit greasy sauce, didnt look or taste very appealing. brussel sprouts were drenched in some type of mayo sauce that was not mentioned on the menu. so "crispy" brussel sprouts were soggy. SO... how much of this experience was on us? we didnt complain, we didnt send back, but we would have had to send EVERYTHING back and this was our anniversary. we are not that picky that every dish needs to be perfectly prepared to our liking. but for is to encounter a problem with every dish? maybe just a bad night. but i dont feel like we received the upscale experience we paid for. only one thing was as fantastic as we remembered - the creme brûlée!
