Where do I begin? We came to this restaurant with no preconceived notions. However, we were BLOWN away by the delicious food, the great service and beautiful restaurant. If you're thinking about going- don't think, just GO!

For sure this isn't a cheap Mexican restaurant. It's located in a high end resort complex between Cancun and playa Del Carmen. That said when in Mexico sometimes you need a break from the everyday taco. I personally love Japanese food. Normally when I go to a country I stick to the local food since it's gauranteed to be fresh. For example I would order fish over steak on a remote island. However, I heard good things about this restaurant so I gave them a try a few years ago and frequent them now every time I go to Mexico. They have ramen in the menu and other dishes however the sushi is the best. It's very very fresh and kindof melts in your mouth. They also have spiced edamame which I've tried to replicate but it's impossible. It's so good and a must try for those who like spicy food. For sure this restaurant is pricy. There no doubt about that but it's worth it. The setting is beautiful. There is outdoor seating overlooking the water. Stunning! Treat yourself your on holidays!

Located at the Rosewood Mayakoba, this place has a beautiful outdoor view overlooking a lagoon. The service was amazing and we were (thankfully) able to get a reservation just a couple hours before. The food was incredible. I highly recommend checking it out if you're staying in Mayakoba. We got an assortment of appetizers, the Sashimi Omakase and a bunch of desserts for the table. Try the Spicy Margarita, you won't regret it!

Wow. Blown. Away. Idk what kind of training the Rosewood puts their employees through or who is the recruiting manager, however- the staff is ON POINT. This resort is on another level of hospitality. We stayed at the Andaz but came here twice during our stay and I was blown away by the ease and attention to detail each employee displays to each guest. From letting us sample items to dishes brought out to us, to servers making us laugh with their genuine charisma, to REMEMBERING OUR ORDER FROM 2 NIGHT BEFORE - wow!! I can't say enough. The food is also excellent. The rock shrimp, OMG!!! Best thing I've ever had. Although, dinner for two is very expensive, it was worth it. I will def be back and I cannot wait to stay at the rosewood one day.

4.5-5 stars. Japanese sushi bar and Tequila "Library" at Rosewood property of Mayakoba. Ordered the spicy lobster sushi which was the hit in our group. The Beef Chilli served with Wagyu BEEF and soba noodles was good. Be prepared to spend money here. Like all restaurants here, 15% service charge (tip) and 16% IVA (tax) is automatically to your bill. Reservations are required at all restaurants on the Mayakoba properties, but we've never had a problem booking on the spot. No crowd for my family of 6 at 5pm. Gets busy around 8pm.

Beautiful spot with creative Asian-inspired cuisine. The service is very good. The view of the Rosewood lagoon is very nice.

There's no AC in this location because the Thai restaurant is downstairs and there's only like eight tables upstairs. It's very loud and hot. We finally got seated there was eight of us. So we ordered a bunch of apps as you can see. And to be honest the apps & sashimi were the star of the shows I loved everything pictured below one is a salmon pokey salad the other was some crunchy rice with avocado and salmon tuna spicy tuna then add tuna. Melt in your mouth delicious. We asked for tons of wasabi and got it. The sakes not included and they wanted 1200 pesos for the a bottle they do not sell it by the glass. we ordered way too many tech em mock rolls and hand rolls. To be honest I would've went for Chef's choice if we could've at a smaller table. And I would've went strictly for the Nigeria and sashimi. The rolls with the rice we're just not good honestly. I just don't think they do rice down here right for sushi rice. It's hard to find it at the stores. We were so full by the time we were done that we couldn't order dessert. But it was good. The service was absolutely amazing for the record they came they delivered he stopped us when we were ordering too much sushi and said we can order more and he was very correct. Now the one thing he said was that the mix tempura was enough for two people. For a meal. I would get one tempura for four people people. We ordered way too much about them filled up on it but it was delicious

When our waiter finally out to our table, she gave us a bar code to scan for the menu. Due to the pandemic, this is much more hygienic practice to provide contactless menus. However, my cell phone service was super slow, so I had to ask for the wifi password. In fact, they probably should just write the wifi password with the bar code as not everyone has great cellular phone service in the area. The pictures in the menu looked great so I ordered the beef ramen. My friend ordered the seafood ramen. When my beef ramen arrived, I suddenly realized why the ramen was so inexpensive. The portion of the ramen was really tiny. It also was oversaturated with miso flavoring which wasn't ideal. The beef ramen was so so, but not really filling. My friend's pan fried seafood udon looked so much better and much more filling too. My advice is not to get anything that is soup based. The service was slow as many people mentioned in their reviews, but at least they accept credit cards.
