Great buffet service for breakfast and dinner. By far the best I have tired in hotels globally. The…read morelist price was 950 TL (breakfast) and 2500 TL (dinner). The hotel has a great private beach access under the cliff. It was great looking out to the Mediterranean Sea while dining outside.

Akra Hotel, Antalya, Turkey - June 1-2, 2024…read more We arrived at the Akra Barut Antalya Hotel at about 4 pm on a Saturday. Check in was friendly and efficient. At about 7 pm when we went down to dinner. We enjoyed a full buffet with drinks. It was probably the best buffet we've ever been too. We watched the sun go down on the outdoor patio. After dinner, we took a walk around the property. A jazz band was playing outside, but we decided to head back to the room and call it a night. The following day, we took an short Uber ride to the marina for a boat ride. It was a nice 2 hour cruise along the coastline of Antalya. We stopped and got pictures near a beautiful waterfall dropping into the ocean. Afterwords, we dropped anchor and spent about 30 minutes swimming off the back of the boat. When we got back to the hotel after lunch, we headed down to the pool. We had couple glasses of wine there and then walked down to the oceanfront where they have reclining chairs and a nice bar. We got a couple chairs and ordered some drinks. The service was friendly and quick. They have a nice pool ladder that dips into the ocean off the deck. We took a couple dips. The water was refreshing and not too cold. The hotel bathroom and shower were nice. The room was clean and comfortable. We also had a small deck with a couple chairs and a small table that looked out over the front of the hotel. This is a nice place to spend a few tourist dollars!

I am so glad I decided to splurge just a little more on this hotel. There were more economical…read morechoices but with Antalya offering such gorgeous turquoise waters, feasting my eyes on the Mediterranean Sea as much as I could was high priority. There is an option of a smaller revolving building to this hotel. It peaked my interest but it's shorter in height and you don't always get the ocean view. I opted for high in the sky, ocean view 24/7. I am glad I did, with the large wall to wall windows, I never closed the curtains, and the sun woke me up as soon as it started to peek through. The views were amazing and I didn't have to leave my room if I didn't want to. I read some reviews where they take the colorful bright rooms as tacky. I was in rainbow heaven. It's my thing, no complaints. Plus the rooms are humongous; I could do cartwheels in them. Plenty of counter space, lounging space, and the beds are equally as big and comfy. The grounds are well kept, with beautiful flowers blooming everywhere. Cliffs with a view no matter what direction you walk to. Beach access is down the stairs or an elevator and just a short stroll through a tunnel within the cliff. It was the most expensive hotel throughout my Turkey trip, but you won't get beach access like this anywhere else. That made it worth it and I would definitely stay here again. Except, I don't like traveling to the same place twice because there are so many places to see and so little time. Pay attention to excursion dates through the Hotel. Everywhere in Turkey I had been able to plan as I wanted. They have specific dates here for certain excursions. I missed their date and was very upset, but they accommodated me and worked through another agency to get me on the day trip to Pamukkale that I was heartbroken at the thought of not being able to go there. The Staff was superb. I really believe in, you get what you give. Be nice and they'll be nice. Happy Travels!

When picking a place to stay in Antalya I had few reservations and tried not to be very picky. I was staying with a few friends of mine and we were just looking for a place near some sights to save the taxi fare and a good breakfast to start the next day. - Concrete - Skippy wifi - Four beds 125€ - Polite staff - Breakfast buffet - Great beach view - Large Turkish coffee shop across the street When I first arrived the staff was very nice, they let me know of all the perks and I was in my room within 10 minutes. I was initially thrown off by the concrete walls because the room was much more industrial than the lobby led on, but I was please overall with the room. Stay away from that mini bar, because the prices are outrageous! Countries in this area put a huge luxury tax on alcohol. Just outside the doors of the beautifully decorated lounge area, there is a nice swimming pool and cliff with a view. If you feel like relaxing in the sun or going for a walk, the hotel has provided a nice area to enjoy. There was an unfinished area at the end of the walkway that leads out to the cliff and there is no beach access but you can take some amazing pictures off the cliffs edge. I woke up fairly early to the call for prayer which is heard very easily at the hotel. I wasn't too thrown off by this, because it was already expected due to the heavy Muslim population. In the lounge area by the pool, a buffet style breakfast is served in the morning that was amazing. The variety of food took into account different cultures while still catering to your taste buds. The food alone made my stay worthwhile. If you are wanting to soak-in the downtown scene there are plenty of hotels at a closer distance to avoid the taxi fare but if you're looking to stay closer to the sights and get a better feel for the people then the Marmara Antalya is a great choice!

I stayed in this hotel during my summer vacation in Antalya with my family. There were other…read morefamilies and couples, Arab, Turkish, Europeans and Russians, staying in the hotel while I was there. The hotel has the theme of a love hotel. But it looks like it was converted to a conventional hotel at some point. This is because of the white and red in the theme's color scheme. My sister has a chromophobia from the red color, so she suffered from headache whenever she went down to have breakfast or dinner in the food hall. The rooms are big, and the balconies are big too. There are big double beds in the balconies, which is a lovely addition to have some intimate place for the guests apart from the bed inside their rooms. The swimming pool is fairly long. And the café/bar there serves shisha and other food and drinks. There was a different music band hosted every night during my stay. The pool was busy during the day and less busy in the night. Also, there was an open air cinema next to the pool showing movies. The health club of the hotel has a gym, Turkish hammam, sauna, steam room and massage rooms offering a wide variety of treatments. There was an activity room with 2 PC's to browse the internet, chessboard, baby football and a billiard table. The kids loved spending time there after sunset. The food hall consists of 2 big halls painted in red. Even the floor, tables and chairs were red. The amount and variety of the open buffet dishes is mouth watering. We benefited from the free access to the beach and the adjacent water park. I enjoyed my stay in this hotel, and I recommend it to families and couples alike.

The whole look and vibe - all white everything with huge disco balls in the lobby and red lighting in the hallways/red accent colors sort of felt like is was something designed in 2000 to look cool and modern but was maybe a little odd and dated now. The hotel is really conveniently located next to a strip of dozens of restaurants and coffee shops, bike paths and greenspace just meters from the beach. The staff were very helpful when we realized we needed a last minute COVID test before traveling home and were generally multilingual which was selfishly helpful for us. They offered a nice breakfast buffer daily. With pandemic protocols in place it made it a little more challenging to maximize the buffet offerings but felt more clean with staff filling plates for you. By the pool bar they had a projector and showed the Euro soccer finals which was nice. We used the hotel spa and got massages and the person we booked them with ended up giving us a discount which was nice. While service was overall good here and it was pretty affordable by American hotel standards, it could use some renovations. The carpet in the entire hallway was buckled as if it had been wet or flooded. The all white guest rooms probably looked crisp when first built, but the floors, in the bathroom in particular, had at lot of marks on then. The paint around the fixtures in the bathroom was chipping off and our toilet paper holder was loose on the wall. The hair dryer also seemed like it was 20 years old. Nothing necessarily seemed "dirty" but definitely had seen better days. The rest of the room was in better shape though. Final though is that the vibe of the all-red hallways and mirrors all over the walls around the bed definitely gave some adult only vibes.
