She came back and told me they would not be doing any cleaning at all--yet I was still charged the $59 fee. So, to be clear: I paid $59 and received absolutely no teeth cleaning. This experience felt misleading and dishonest. Advertising a $59 cleaning, then charging the fee when no cleaning is performed, is unacceptable. Previously I had come in for a $75 filling then was told I could not have the filling but would need to upgrade to an onlay which was $400. Please get a second opinion before you allow these people to remove healthy teeth! I will no longer be coming here and pulling my whole family from the practice. The person was extremely pushy and then I just heard a voicemail telling us the office wanted to charge $75 if my husband didn't show up on Monday. The moment I called earlier this week and spoke to that Sarah person, it left a very bad feeling but now it solidified that it feels as though there is price gauging going on. When my husband finally called this office back, Sarah casually mentioned his deep cleaning procedure would cost $700+ and if we're fine with that? And then proceeded to rush my husband into agreeing to that appointment because "they already booked for two hours." Then after I said we will not be ready to pay $700+, Sarah said "well then you can do half." What in the world? It sounded beyond shady. The whole interaction was absurd and unprofessional. I may be filing a complaint with BBB because it was very unprofessional the way this was handled. Both my husband and I currently have dental insurance. My husband does need deep cleaning but we were going to a previous office that had him do a regular cleaning more often to have him avoid the need for deep cleaning. This person would not even let me get a word in and in the end I had to tell her "excuse me you need to stop being pushy and let me talk. We are going to cancel that appointment." After touching base three days later after leaving messages, they had rescheduled my son to take my appointment and had supposedly canceled mine. However, when my wife showed up the morning of my son's appointment, they had insisted on charging us a "no show fee" of $50 for me not canceling (which my wife reluctantly paid, even though my son was taking my place) and had then notified my wife that we were out of network now with my company's new insurance. With that being stated my wife walked out knowing they were about to charge us out of network and an exorbitant amount of $$, and unfortunately we won't be back and will need to look for a new dentist. Lesson is that if you are loyal, stay loyal. We've been going to Dr. Belda as a family for years and the "no show fee" has been charged twice to us for unusual circumstances.
