I have an area rug that is a tightly woven wool rug 10X14. It is a very sentimental rug &…read morerecommended to clean every 2 yrs. I booked online thinking someone would call me to confirm they would be a good fit to clean the run. They said that they clean wool & it's fine. On the day of the appointment, the technician was "running late". Well he ended up being an hour late. They were very communicative about it which i appreciated. This is where it starts to go down hill. The tech came in and quoted me over $500. Which is insane! He also said he'd measure the rug because we were unsure of the size, never did. I kindly told him that it was way too much when I could go to a drop off place for almost half the cost that I knew did a good job. He haggled & while talking he mentioned that if everything did not come out of the rug that it would look better than it does now. I stopped him right there. I said if you aren't sure that you can get the rug completely clean, then I don't want to waste his time or my money when I could go somewhere else that I know will get the job done. He insisted he could get it clean and if wasn't clean he would continue until it was & that he could come back if we weren't satisfied. To my better judgement I agreed for him to clean the rug. I have kids & wanted to stay out of the way while he cleaned it. Took him 25min & he told me he was done. I looked at the rug and told him it was still dirty. He argues it's just said it will be fine once it dried. The rug has tassels that were visibly not clean & after going back and forth he finally agreed to at least re clean that area. Which didn't work. I didn't realize that their cleaning method was to spray & then use this scrubby brush grinder attachment to "clean" the rug. This can be damaging to the type of wool rug that I have. No one ever explained their process AT ALL! If he had explained this prior to cleaning I would have also told him no thank you. I did not want my rug to get more damaged. Once the rug completely dried, the soil looked no different than when the tech started with it. There's this weird sticky film on it. Ripples, the list goes on. I never got to continue my conversation with the teach because he just hopped in his van and left without saying good by or making sure things were ok. I immediately contacted Safe Dry to let them know what happened. The receptionist is a sweetheart! She understood but I needed to talk to a manager because I am requesting a refund. The next day I the call from the manager. I explained the issue, he started insinuating my story changed, then retracted that statement once he actually look at the call info. Sticks up for his technician vs apologizing or admitting to fault. Couldn't care less that I was afraid to allow them to touch my rug again. I let him know if he wasn't willing to give me a refund that I would be contacting my bank to reverse the charge. Then he brought up that I signed a contract. Sadly for him, I did not sign I was satisfied with the results of the rug cleaning. I wouldn't have signed it regardless due to the way my rug was left. While reading over the contract again, I realized the tech was extremely dishonest with the state of my rug. The tech had asked me if my animals had ever soiled the rug, if I had spilled anything on the rug, both of which has never happened. No water stains. The rug has dirt on it and that's it. He marked that it was very worn, which it's not. He marked there were stains, which there isn't. The rug is simply dirty from the dirt my kids. What was really upsetting was seeing that he marked there were red stains. My husband and I do not drink. So it couldn't be from wine. My kids do not eat anything with dyes. The manager was unwilling to refund me my money. I told him if he was unwilling I would like to speak to whoever is above him. I was told that I needed to give them another chance to reclean the rug. Or they could give a partial refund? Why in the world would I give the a second chance when they have already created damaged to my sentimental rug? I don't feel like I am being unreasonable asking for the money to be refunded. They wasted an hour of my day being late, the tech lied multiple times and then just left, the manager was unwilling to take any responsibility and now I am waiting for whoever is next in charge and it has been 5 days with no call. No refund, no nothing. The fact that I questioned the tech about not being able to clean the rug and he lied and said he could when he knew he couldn't isn't ok. That was a flat out lie! It was an extremely shady sales tactic. They get you to sign a contract to give them a shot even though they verbally guarantee and over promise only for if a problem arises. Thank the Lord I didn't not sign the second part of the contract stating I was satisfied with the results. How many people ignorantly sign it, thinking oh they'll just come back to reclean it and then it never gets clean.

I had the worst experience with this company please don't use them…read more First I called the office to get an estimate for my 10 x 14 rug and was quoted a dollar a square foot, so I expected the charges to be 140+ whatever taxes. When the tech arrived, and I won't give his name because I'm not trying to put his name out there, he quoted me 500 for full cleaning. I said no absolutely not and we haggled and he kept trying to sell me for 300. Against my better judgment we agreed to $150 which was $10 more than I agreed to on my original phone call. He took the rug away and it was supposed to come back 48 hours later. Now this rug was bought secondhand so there were a lot of stains and dirt on the rug. You could visibly see the rug was dirty. When he brought the rug back the same stains were still there. The tech told me they did "a dry clean"!! Which means they don't use water at all!!! I was looking for a shampoo for this rug and I specifically said that a number of times.... But the tech kept calling it a general clean. The rug was returned to me with the exact same stains, and I paid more and I waited a week to get it back. Nothing went right with my service at all. And I still have a dirty rug sitting in my living room! Just be aware they're going to haggle the price on you and try to upsell you significantly. And then they're going to do what's called a general clean which is with no water they just use some kind of buffer on the machine but they don't vacuum or use water at all. You would be better off beating your own carpet with a broom.
