At home I had to lighten up the brows and take off some eye shadow. They've done my hair before and I loved it so I wanted to try it for my son's wedding. Not only did she and her team do a great job accentuating each of our natural beauty, they made it last all night! As someone with very straight hair, I was very weary of getting my hair curled for my wedding as I was afraid it would all end up falling. Not only did Mayra use the proper products, she told me how to properly prepare my hair, and she used a teasing technique that made my curls hold all day and night....something that never happens. I was very impressed. I did a make-up trial at my house before booking her for my wedding. During the trial, she paid close attention and took detailed notes on how I wanted my make-up done while also recommending what she thought was best for my face. I am someone who is really into make-up and am very particular and detailed with it, so I am typically wary of other people doing my make-up. I have also had other professional make-up artists not do a good job on my make-up in the past, so I was very impressed and happy with how professional and talented Mayra was. And while talent and professionalism are of course what you want the most from a make-up artist, she is also an incredibly sweet person who was truly a joy to work with. She left the product on my head and sent me home without rinsing it out AND she told me not to wash my hair for a day. I was her last appt of the day. Her husband arrived with all their kids and I guess she was overwhelmed. My scalp was burning. NEXT day, I called her and she told me to come it. She looked at me and said I hadn't washed my hair! When I left her salon, I went to another salon to get another opinion about why my head felt like it was on fire. When it was explained to me that Lacy never washed the product out of my hair and scalp - I QUIT GOING TO HER. UPDATE: Lacey reported my YELP review including the validation photos included for proof of the damage to my hair. They deleted my review including the photos proof. That's how she deals with negative reviews - she has the truth deleted. Then she had false witnesses give negative reviews about me personally - (these people did not know me) on her YELP. I do want to thank her for posting MY PERSONAL information about my identity so that people who saw my hair after she fried it, are aware of how it happened and more importantly who did it. Jesus Christ avenged my truthfulness by deleting all past services charges from the account. He's awesome.
