We have been using A&D for 10 years to keep our now 20 year old Geothermal system running. During…read morethat time we had to have some parts replaced such as the blower motor and water circulation pumps and the old girl was starting to show her age. Last Fall I bought a new high efficiency 5 ton unit from a manufacture /supplier and Dan, Jen and the crew installed it over a two day period. Problems inherent to the unit materialized immediately but Dan worked very hard to get the unit running in heat mode well enough to get us through last winter without a hitch. This involved having to troubleshoot the unit, talk with the manufacture then return to fit parts supplied under warranty. Then the days started getting warmer again. The unit just would not cool correctly. A number of service visits and calls to the manufacture ensued until there service department at the manufacture's factory declared the TXV defective and supplied a new valve and filter which Dan had to install by brazing it into the lines after he had cut the old units out. This was a big job; the refrigerant had to be recovered, the parts installed, the system vacuumed down and then recharged. This seems to have corrected our cooling problems and we are back to having full AC after only having about 75% cooling during the worst of this summer. The labor was not covered by the manufacture and Dan covered us out of his own pocket under his company's 1 year full warranty. You just do not get this sort of service from most companies today. If you need plumbing, heating, air conditioning, heat pump including geothermal heat pump installation or service you will not find a better company or people. Thank you guys, P&D

Said he would order the parts for the repairs, which might take a couple days. He wanted to be paid in full before doing anything. I agreed. Two weeks later, he showed up with some of the parts. This owner runs very late, so if you need work finished quickly, find someone else. His techs arrived two hours late after the work was scheduled on the second visit. James had more excuses that a teenager! It was always something, day after day after day. He might look in the mirror to see where the problem might be given his business practices. James, apparently, does not have the discipline to keep to a schedule. Granted things pop up, but this guy and his team were never on time. Having customers wait six hours on the first two appointments, as well as, several weeks to even get the work completed is a clear reflextion of this company owner's practices & priorities or lack thereof. He selected the floor vents & filters for the HVAC system. I requested similar filters of what had already been inside the ceiling vent, which were provided; however, the floor vents installed (the third 30-minute late appointment) were not even the color of the linoleum flooring, which is grey. He installed tan floor vents(!). I, also, found that the washing machine did not drain after the new pump was installed. This was the very reason I called CRO to fix in the first place. I took a video (09/22/26) of this same problem and contacted James, the owner. He told his staff to tell me that they would come back whenever I did my next load of wash to see what was happening, so the tech could see the load washed start to finish. And guess what? When I called James to schedule that return visit, as he indicated, James refused to answer any of my phone messages or my text messages. This is the kind of business owner he is. He did not reply to a single text message with the video included after his "repair." He simply walked away, after being paid in full. THIS is the "quality" of work CRO Mech Services provided in August-September 2026. As a customer, I paid in advance in full and bent over backwards to accommodate the techs & James on warm days, e.g., cans of chilled LaCroix water, ice cream bars, etc. for all of them. I will never use this company, again, and learned a very hard lesson, Do not listen to this owner's endless excuses. You might think you're hearing your teenager talking and you'll be waiting a long time for a resolution.

We chose Callahan Heating and Cooling after receiving multiple bids for a full HVAC system…read morereplacement. Miranda was very knowledgeable and professional. We scheduled the installation and that is when the problems started. The techs were obviously newer and were at our house until after 11 pm, after telling us they would be done around 5. They struggled to troubleshoot the issue and ultimately my husband had to figure it out after they left. He discovered that a component was not working, and Colin confirmed (who is also very knowledgeable), but then once the part came in the same tech that did the installation was sent to install the new parts. He was confused and communicated that the wrong part was ordered. My husband again had to assist and Colin confirmed that it was the correct part and just had to be installed a different way. The part was installed and we thought it was working only to find out later that it is wired backwards resulting in our basement being freezing and our upstairs being hot. All of the delays have resulted in higher utility bills because our system has been running non-stop in high heat days. Considering the cost of a new system, I expected better and my husband should not have to assist people who are trained to perform these installations.
