I hope I can let everyone know how terrible this place is, to save you the nightmare that our family went through.
First let me say that we went with AFSCO even though their estimate was 13,000ish and the other estimates we received were 6000ish. We wanted good fences we would be proud of and we foolishly thought we were paying extra for good quality.
Within two months of the installation, boards began popping off the fence all over the place. Apparently, they forgot to put in a second nail (the first nail is done at the shop). Additionally, posts are crooked and cracked. Some of the crosspieces on the fence do not even reach the posts!
Also within a couple months after installation, our fences began to mold and rot. Clearly they were not treated correctly. The posts were treated correctly and the difference is clear.
AFSCO says on their website that if you are not satisfied with the installation, they will come out and "make sure customers are 100% satisfied". Do not believe that!
I contacted my salesman within 3 months of installation after noticing that our fence was falling apart. He claimed that he could do nothing about the rotting and moldy panels, because that was just my bad luck that I got bad panels from the manufacturer.
He did admit that the installation was a disaster and promised to have a crew come out right away to repair it. It has been two years and they still have not come out! Here are some quotes from my salesman:
3/16/2021: Will touch base when we are getting closer.
5/6/2021: Not forgotten yet give me a bit longer to get out there as I am swamped.
8/16/2021: I am not sure what to tell your neighbor, yet mind his own business comes to mind, ha ha. In all honesty, it will more than likely be next month with all that I have going on here at the moment.
10/8/2021: I will get a crew scheduled at some point as was promised yet quite honestly am not sure as to when.
10/12/2021: I have everything documented and will put in on my installation list in the next few weeks and get it done once and for all.
1/20/2022: I will get a crew over to take care of things once and for all! We are running a skeleton crew this time of year yet will get it taken care of before we get busy again!
3/7/2022: I have the boards down here and will get you hooked up before we get cranked up.
5/16/2022: I will get a crew over the week of 5-30 if not sooner to get this completed for you.
6/28/2022: It will be done in the next week or so and will put and end to it.
7/15/2022: I will have it scheduled for you and my apologies for the continuing delay with getting it handled.
AFSCO has terrible prices.
AFSCO has terrible quality materials.
AFSCO has terrible installation.
AFSCO has terrible customer service.
Deciding to go with AFSCO was my biggest mistake of the decade. Save yourself the hassle, go with someone else. Anyone else. read more
