Jacob was unable to get back to me in a timely manner due to personal reasons. In the meantime, I decided to sign with another company to complete the work I need on my property. I was disappointed that I hadn't heard back from Jacob, so I left a review here expressing that disappointment. Almost immediately upon submitting my review, the owner responded. A short time later, Jacob called to explain why he hadn't gotten back to me and apologized for having dropped the ball. While I cannot speak to the quality of their work because I did not end up hiring them, I am changing my review because I feel like the owner and Jacob reaching out despite already having lost me as a customer shows integrity and care that is lacking in many contractor businesses these days. I appreciate that they care, so it is only fair for my review to be updated to reflect that accordingly.

He said that he used to install and I liked that the sales person had experience doing the job so they weren't selling something that they really didn't understand. All of the staff were respectful and very clear. They continued communication through the process. I was also not harassed through follow ups. They allowed me time to review, get quotes, look at my budget and make - decision. It was a big reason I followed up when it made sense to move forward. I have had a lot of issues with contractors and Summit Fence has been such a breeze to work with. They do what they say they are going to do and they complete the job while respecting your space. I wish their energy was found elsewhere. I really love the look of the fence. I also had them stain it. Andrew and team did a great job. They were able to fit me in the schedule last minute and arrived early. At the end, they made sure to ask if I had any questions. If you want to pay check to avoid the fee, you can drop the deposit off and once the job is completed, the contractors will accept the check. That is a plus so you don't have to drive back over.

We hired them to install a fence around our property and a semi privacy fence to hide a pool utility area. after installing the wrong fence, we told them we would like to meet to discuss the issues. They suggested a time when we weren't available and we suggested times when we were. We explicitly said that we needed to talk to them prior to them repairing so there was no miscommunication. Instead of listening to us, they trespassed on our property when we weren't home and installed the incorrect fence again. This time it was even worse than before. We tried to reach out to find a reasonable solution and were met with the rude and unhelpful owner who said he approved the poor workmanship and demanded we pay the final invoice. We are very reasonable people and all we wanted was what was promised to us when we originally agreed to work with spectrum. In addition to the terrible privacy fence, the rest of the three rail fence was also constructed with damaged boards and covered in mud and spray paint. There was no pride of a job well done from this company, just a demand for money when the job was "complete". We followed all their rules outlined in their contract to try to get it all fixed and it became very clear that there crooked and sketchy. Save yourself the time and money and do not work with spectrum fence.

They told us to pound sand and they were not going to help with replacing these warped boards. They did not explain up front that pine always has a chance to warp, or we would have used a different type of wood. Upon inspection, a lot of the pine boards they used were sub par and have black marks, splitting, and other imperfections. Really upset at the unprofessional follow up and uncaring attitude now that they have our money. **They could have asked us to pay even a reasonable fee for replacing them, but the email/texts they sent were telling us they did not want to help with any follow up. I would say someone like this is not someone to give your hard earned money to. We will be looking at legal options.
