I'm so glad I ordered the sauce on the side because it ratcheted up the salt level to briny. Our server was adequate. The dining room is in a sort of weird U-shaped to me, but and spaced to serve. The friendly Manager stopped by our table to give my little niece a toy, and check on our experience. Our food hadn't come yet, so I didn't share that I didn't enjoy my meal. Even though I didn't enjoy the dish I had, I probably come back to try the burger.

Did they also serve pho at Club Sandwich (I didn't check the menu) besides burgers and sandwiches? Or was the aroma from Pho 95 two doors down? I decided what I wanted to order, but there was a problem. There was nobody at the counter. I waited maybe four minutes to see if anybody from the back would come out to take my order. But nobody came out. I was hungry and didn't want to wait any longer, so I just left. Club Sandwich could at least have a bell on their counter to get somebody's attention if they aren't going to man the counter.

Aslin has built a strong reputation for a reason. The IPA I ordered was excellent--fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for from a brewery known for hop-forward beers. We also decided to grab some food and were pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The pepperoni and hot honey pizza was outstanding, with a crispy crust and just the right amount of sweetness from the honey. The cheese curds were another winner and paired perfectly with the beer. The staff was friendly, service was quick, and everything felt well organized despite a steady crowd. I also appreciated the large selection of beer to-go, glassware, hats, shirts, and other brewery swag available for purchase. One thing to note: they are completely cashless, so bring a credit or debit card. Between the excellent beer, surprisingly good food, fun atmosphere, and spacious layout, Aslin ended up being one of our favorite brewery stops in Alexandria.
