This is not your traditional food you find in Venice, however it was worth a visit. The owners were so proud of all the food they were serving. The service was good. It is located in the Dorsoduro sestieri. We were the first customers for dinner service and we decided to sit in the back patio area. The pack patio was cleverly decorated. They had a few separate rooms if you wanted to bring a group. I was impressed by their variety of dishes they provide from different countries in Africa. I have not had the opportunity to try some of the dishes before I frequented this establishment. Every corner was from a different country and a different flavor profile. This was one of our top lunches in Italy!!! Absolutely delicious!!!! We ate til we were stuffed and enjoyed everything!!! We had the mixed appetizer, fried chicken, and lamb stew. The fried chicken wasn't really "fried" per se, it was more sautéed but it was delicious. The lamb stew wasn't gamy at all, and was recommended by the hostess as her favorite dish. It was incredible. Plus, it's super cute!!!! Wine was 6€ for a half liter. If I lived here, I'd be eating here all the time. read more

Walking around Venice and we were greeted by this restaurant to come in and take a look, we ended up sitting down and sampling some of the appetizers/wine/beer... LOVE IT!! This is a must stop! They have only been open for 6-7months and it was started by refugees! The staff is so friendly :) So happy we came in and gave this place a try!! read more

This is the best of all the restaurants that we went in our last trip to France and mostly Italy. We discovered it in our last day in Venice. We would have gone there more than once if we had discovered it sooner. The food tasted amazing. We had food from different parts of Africa and all of six entrees were tasty. The meat was tender and flavorful. The flavors were not overwhelming and the food was not salty at all -- as we had experienced again and again in Italy. The vegetables were fresh and not overcooked. The serving was quite sufficient. Even our forever hungry teenage boy was happy with the serving size. The price was reasonable and the service was quite friendly. We had to catch a Vivaldi concert after dinner and the restaurant was quite accommodating to our schedule. All in all, we would recommend this place and we would come back the next time we are in Venizia. read more
