Surprising how much more air comes through new screen. They all look and function very well. I also have an odd sized slider door that has not had a screen slider from the time I bought the home almost 6 years ago. Despite constant searching, I never found what would fit, even called a local company that did my garage screen units at my old home, and they failed to show for 2 years and many calls later. John took the measurements and provided a solid metal framed slider which now allows for more cross breeze on those windy days. Nice person, leaves no tell tail evidence of work behind. This is happening now that the weather has turned cold. On new expensive windows this is hard to ignore. When I contacted Anderson's service team,( they have made two trips to my home) they said this "Just happens sometimes". Unfortunately that doesn't solve the problem. Interior condensation can lead to mold and damage to the wood trim, so being told it sometimes happens is not helpful. I live in a home that is 100 years old and do not have moisture on the inside of the original windows. At this point I am not satisfied with the product performance or the response from the technicians. I would like a permanent fix or replacement on these windows.
